Town of Needham PIU

Why are private pick up trucks with small plows that can't adequately remove snow off the streets employed instead of Needham DPW trucks with large snow plows? Has a risk analysis been made on switching to private contractors that can't manage the job of snow removal to the standards we used to enjoy? There's a risk of people not getting emergency medical care in time. There's a much greater risk of car accidents on streets that aren't plowed wide enough for two cars to safely pass one another. Why did the town do this?

The sidewalks are extremely overgrown with weeds.

The home at 43 Whitman has been running an industrial, extremely loud generator non-stop in their yard, day and night, for days. It's a clear instance of noise pollution and is driving the entire neighborhood insane. It's not the first instance of noise pollution from this selfish homeowner.

Fix new crosswalk light making noise 24/7. Homeowner Mary Ellen Pierce at 781.864.6527 notified DPW.

Trees/shrubs need to be trimmed. Sidewalk is in accessible, making it necessary to use street around the curve with limited visibility for pedestrians and drivers, until cars are almost on top of pedestrians when they can be seen. Bit dangerous.

Please cut the dead branches hanging over the sidewalk and the private property

Poison ivy is growing through the fence onto the sidewalk around the entrance to the commuter rail station on Great Plain.

A lot of overgrown brush and weeds when you enter Needham on Chestnut Street. We should clean it up since it’s the first thing people see whenn they enter the town.
