I noticed that there are more pigeons in town center and they have even spread to neighboring streets. I think the bird feeder in front of Town Hal might be attracting them and helping them increase in population. I am concerned that they can become an infestation and pest issue if they are allowed to grow in numbers. Can the town remove the bird feeder that might be contributing to the problem? Thank you.

Report was received by health department yesterday of geese poop and geese activity in the playground area behind Sunita Williams school where all the kids play. It is creating an unsanitary environment. Health agent met with school facilities staff who are trying to clean it up best they can but are not doing deterring and are really only scooping up most obvious goose droppings observed. It appears to be impacting the turf, cement play area and jungle gym area. I was told that Parks and Forestry would be the entity that could most directly address this.
