Town of Needham PIU

The contractors who installed the concrete sidewalk section at the corner of GPA and Marked Tree a few months ago did a poor job - it collects water in a low spot and freezes over making it dangerous for pedestrians. The concrete itself is failing and already has a large crack, despite only being in use for a few months. They should be brought back to fix such poor workmanship in Spring.

Even though a lot of work happened on Webster Street, the portion past Dedham avenue has been overlooked, yet again! Despite multiple requests, there’s no help on the sidewalk which is uneven and causing problems for pedestrians, esp seniors and young kids. My toddler has fallen down and got hurt at least thrice due to the uneven sidewalk.

There are curbs at Dedham ave corner and they resume at 955 Webster but are missing between 927 and 955

July 29th Storm caused flooding and significant damage to property. It seems the town only recognizes the Aug. 8th storm but our property flooded on the 29th as well. Street and drainage issues are being addressed from Aug. 8th but we wanted to make sure town knew the damage occurred twice in 1 week.

Hello, The sidewalk outside the address is uneven, making it hard for young kids/toddlers to walk or ride their scooter freely. It’s equally inconvenient to seniors. Appreciate if someone could look into it to make sure the sidewalks are walkable for everyone. Thank you.

Sidewalk on linden by the church is all cracked needs to be repaired/redone

No curb ramp in any part of the intersection. Dangerous for strollers, handicapped.
Please install a ramp on all four sides.

Sidewalk curb cuts do not exist on Marked Tree at most intersections (oak, oakcrest, high rock, barrett) making it unsafe for individuals with disabilities, families with strollers, kids, and others to navigate off the curb to cross the street. It doesn't appear this is being addressed by the current roadwork on Marked Tree.

The sidewalks from 55 Grant Street all the way to 5 Grant Street are a disaster and impossible for kids to safely walk or ride bikes/scooters on. Some areas are marked for repair, however, the entire stretch is terrible and it's crazy (not to mention inefficient) that someone would mark a small section for repair next to another section that's completely broken and uneven.

All the sidewalks in the neighborhood, including Bridle Trail Road, Carlton Drive, cranberry Lane have major cracks in the sidewalks. Some are as big as 4 inches wide. It is very unsafe to walk, particularly as the area is poorly lit. It’s difficult to see where mounds of grass growing out of the cracks. The sidewalk about 30 years old and have never been repaired.
