The walk signal at Great Plain / Highland / Dedham makes pedestrians wait more than 2 full light cycles before they can cross. When I was there this evening, each direction of vehicular cross traffic got two full green lights and pedestrians (who had waited over 5 minutes) were starting to jaywalk. This is a dangerous intersection, and the idea of waiting more than 5 minutes for a pedestrian signal seems even worse given that it's fairly difficult for a pedestrian to cross diagonally unless they're walking briskly. Do we expect elderly pedestrians to wait 10+ minutes to get from the town common to Little Spoon?

Light takes almost 2 mins to change even when there is no traffic. Needs to be adjusted so in light traffic times the light will change if someone pulls up to intersection.
Timing is off on all the lights in that section of Kendrick too

The recent timing reconfiguration has produced a very negative impact on traffic flow, often resulting in gridlocked intersections. When driving either East or West, the traffic signals are no longer synchronized to allow complete travel through town...but rather one signal is red while the other is green (and vice versa). I don't know if this is the result of recently separated/independent crosswalk controls or some other factor, but it has been incredibly inefficient and frustrating to travel through these two intersections since the alteration.

The pedestrian phase is not working when the train passes Great Plain Ave. It took my family 10 minutes to get the pedestrian signal to cross Dedham Ave. All other directions for cars had multiple separate phases for green lights, there is not enough vehicle volume to warrant skipping multiple pedestrian phases to clear vehicles. Please make the pedestrian phase activate in every cycle when pedestrians are detected regardless of train/emergency vehicle detection.

  • 569 Chestnut Street Needham, MA, 02492, USA - Needham
Corner of High Rock St and Chestnut St (coming from Central on the south side towards Dover) - Walking symbol does not appear when you push the button at this corner of the intersection so even after pushing it a few times, you have no other option but to cross since the walk sign never appears. All of the other buttons at this intersection work appropriately.

Waiting at Oak Street to enter onto or cross Chestnut Street is a long red light and needs to be looked into ASAP. Chestnut Street is red one direction but green the other. Why?
