5 Quince Street Nantucket, Massachusetts, 02554 - NantucketWe have had to have someone come to repair - for the second time this year - the brick sidewalk around the water main cover in front of our 5 Quince Street Home.
Could we please have a no parking yellow painted line to protect that part of the sidewalk and the water main? -
Boulevarde Nantucket, Massachusetts, 02554 - NantucketTraffic speeds on Boulevarde are well in excess of 25mph. Given this is a residential street is it possible to install speed humps on this road to keep the speeds down?

India St & Liberty St Nantucket, MA, 02554, USA - NantucketPlease take a look at the location of the 2 hour parking sign. I don't think it's an appropriate location. It is on a slight curve of what I would call GARDNER ST before you turn onto India St. If you look on the opposite side of the street of where the yellow line is there is a fire hydrant so if someone where to park in this 2 hr parking zone they would have to be pulled up onto the sidewalk on a very treacherous street to navigate. The base of the grey sign post looks like it was displaced and maybe plopped in the bricks during road work. Thanks for checking this out and maybe replacing with a "no parking here to corner sign"

2-98 Milestone Ln Nantucket, MA, 02554, USA - NantucketPlease install a crosswalk across Sparks Avenue from Milestone Lane to Millies parking lot entrance. When a person in a wheelchair
traveling Old South bike path and wants to visit Millie's at the rotary, they have to cross Old South Road, travel on the south sidewalk, and then cross Sparks Ave at Milestone Lane to access Millie's parking lot where the ramp to the restaurant is located. It is the only route to access Millie's in a wheelchair from Old South Road. It is a dangerous crossing because of the constant traffic in both directions. Thank you. -

Traffic Safety & Parking ConcernsĐược thừa nhận95 Main St Nantucket MA 02554, United States - NantucketOften because of hydrant, people block access to my driveway. Elderly occupants cannot get home.
Please paint a yellow line from corner or make whole space from hydrant back no parking -
5 Dukes Rd Nantucket, Massachusetts, 02554 - NantucketA family member and resident of the street was nearly hit by a truck that was speeding downthise roa. And is very shaken up by it. We would even like a police trap placed on the road or speed bumps. Something to guarantee that speeding on this small road wont be tolerated.

22 Federal St Nantucket, Massachusetts, 02554 - NantucketThere are two accessible parking spaces on Federal Street near Broad Street. This space is the second accessible parking space from Broad Street. Please relocate the accessible parking space post and sign to the front of this accessible parking space. Accessible vans with a side entrance cannot park in this space. The ramp that the accessible van uses so the wheelchair user can enter or exit the van lands right where the post is located. Therefore, it is impossible for an accessible van with a side entrance to use this space. Also, the regulations state that the accessible parking sign should be located at the top of every accessible parking space. Thank you.

60 Tennessee Ave Nantucket MA 02554, United States - NantucketA catch basin cleaning will not resolve this safety issue
The catch basin is cleaned and a week later it is filled again, when 8 employees bike daily and are not allowed to have cars on island to reduce traffic but are hit by cars because of this unsafe intersection
Pumping a faulty catch basin will not cut it.
The pothole puddle needs to be filled in and a culvert diversion needs to be maintained. -
Traders Ln Nantucket, Massachusetts, 02554 - Nantucket
Please see the attached photo images 5730 and 5731 of the Yellow No Parking Stripes on Traders Lane (downtown next to the Summer Street Church). As you can see in the photos someone has spray painted over a portion of the yellow stripes with black spray paint. This modification has the effect of extending the open space for parking along the lane from two spaces to three.
Please also see image 5732 showing the damage to our fence as a result of cars and/or delivery trucks trying to squeeze past the parked cars on the street or from cars trying to parallel park which happens when there are three cars parked there. This damage to our fence is a recurring problem. I have letters written to the town concerning this problem that go back decades.
Traders Lane is extremely narrow. Realistically, it is too narrow to allow for parked cars. The only way to park cars and allow safe passage is for the cars to park all the way on the sidewalk running alongside the church and to limit the parking to two cars. If there is three cars parked, the car parked in the middle of three cars can not pull out of their parking space without hitting our fence. Even if only two cars are allowed there and they are pulled all the way onto the sidewalk, no emergency vehicle could pass.
For these reasons, we would like to see the parking spaces on Traders Lane alongside the church removed all together. If that is not acceptable, at the very least we would appreciate the No Parking Stripes be repainted yellow, as they were prior to the vandalism.
One other option worth consideration is to only allow parking there on Sunday mornings when the church is holding service.
Thank you for your consideration. We look forward to your reply. -
27 Cliff Road Nantucket, Massachusetts, 02554 - NantucketI would like to request a yellow line be extended outside my driveway on both sides. Cars are constantly parking where the view is completely obstructed on both sides when I’m trying to pull out. I cannot see traffic either end of a Cliff Rd. Twice this summer I have been parked into my driveway because cars have parked and partially blocked the entryway. The cars are also parking so close to the fence that it completely blocks the sidewalk and I’ve seen walkers/strollers having to walk in the street. We have been in the house for 10 years and every summer have the same issues. I’m very concerned by the lack of visibility due to the cars parking right up to the edge of the driveway on both sides.

22 Federal St Nantucket, Massachusetts, 02554 - NantucketThere are two accessible parking spaces on Federal Street near Broad Street. This is the accessible parking space closest to Broad Street. Please replace the dirt sidewalk with brick. People using ambulatory devices such as canes, walkers, crutches and wheelchairs have a difficult time navigating on this dirt sidewalk as they are exiting a vehicle. It is a hazardous situation for them and for elderly people who also park in the accessible parking space. Thank you.
