The cover to the water main shut off has come off and is in the middle of the road. Cars are running over it and the drain is wide open. Please fix asap. We moved the cap over to the side of the road.

Willard Road not properly graded. Puddle stops 2 feet short of drain. In big storms, puddles can extend 2 houses up Main St. I have a pic of the puddle approaching the drain, but could only post 1.

Hi, the catch basin at the intersection of Avon Street and Main Street was recently constructed less than a year ago. However, it is situated in a location where water is not able to flow in. There is a large puddle/flood with every storm. Can the street be repaved or the catch basin moved 2 feet? Thank you.

I don't know what it's called, but I almost twisted my ankle in it just now because the cover moved.

16-20 John Street Reading Massachusetts - Reading

I am a 25+ year home owner on John St and the issue I would like considered is two fold: 1. There has been an increase in traffic volume on this street over the past years due to increased business. The speed of traffic has also risen with many cars barreling down the street.

    2. More recently, there has been a greater number of large trucks - oftentimes 18 wheelers coming down this street. The narrowness of this street does not allow for these vehicles to make way for others. Also this is a residential street with many children and the likelihood of a vehicle of this size stopping in a timely manner seems limited. Nuisance noise is also considerable during the day but also some of these trucks often travel in very early morning hours.

John Street has always served as a cut through to avoid the center of town but now with the increase businesses on Walkers Brook I believe it is taking on too much of the traffic burden for this area.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

I have been seeing rats almost daily running across my patio. I have lived in my house for 19 years at 12 Auburn street and have never seen Rats ever). I live about 5 houses away from the water tower demolition. These rats have been active and running around the yard for since the start of the Water Tower removal project started in late winter. This is not a coincidence. We never have rats in our neighborhood.

Please consider a "Right Turn Only" from John street on to Salem for weekday afternoon hours. With cars coming over Lowell street, cars coming off Harnden street, and backed up traffic going west on 129 it makes Left turn very difficult and ultimately backs up traffic on John st.

  • Grove St & Mark Ave Reading, MA, 01867, USA - Reading
I am reaching out to submit a request for the consideration of safety improvements at the intersection of Mark Avenue and Grove Street. Specifically, the installation of a speed bump or, alternatively, a strategically placed mirror could significantly enhance visibility and safety for all users of this intersection. Currently, there exists a notable blind spot for drivers attempting to turn onto Grove Street from Mark Avenue, particularly from the left side. This issue is compounded by the tendency for vehicles to travel at high speeds, creating a considerable safety risk not only for drivers but also for pedestrians in the area, including many children. The introduction of a speed bump could serve to moderate vehicle speeds, while a mirror on the corner could improve visibility for drivers navigating this challenging turn. Either, or both, of these measures would be invaluable in preventing potential accidents and enhancing the safety and well-being of our community members.I am more than willing to engage in further discussion on this matter and explore how we can collaboratively address this safety concern. Thank you for your attention to this important issue and for your ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of our community.
