City of Brockton, MA PLUS

The auto repair shop at 189 Clinton st daily has more fleet than they have lot capacity for.

The west side of the street is marked no parking. The east side is not marked as such.

The east side of the street is also the side of the street where the sidewalk is. This sidewalk is adjacent to the Gilmore School and a city park. As seen in the photos this shop has no problem blocking the sidewalk which creates an unsafe situation for students walking to/from school.

In addition to the unsafe walking conditions, when the shop parks on both sides of the street, the road narrows to less than 1.5 lanes creating a safety issue for vehicle traffic.

There are many vehicles in the back yard consistently and repair work being done. Also, there is a lot of debris near where the repairs are being done.

My name is Ester Barbosa and I have lived in Brockton since 2006.
In my current residence on Belair street, I have lived since March of 2017.
Every year during the winter time your city workers/plowers clean the streets with zero regards for the people who lives here. 
This is a busy street which I understand must be made safe for all drivers and passersby. 
What I don’t  understand is the poor job done when they are clearing the sidewalks of snow, when they pass by with the small sidewalk plows.
As of last week winter storm 1/26/26, they have done the worst of job I’ve seen. Leaving a complete mess on our street.
They drove over one foot of snow on Belair street sidewalk and made it nearly impossible for someone like myself to clear it out. 
Most people on this street are elderly or over 60 years old. Some of us, lend a hand to those who are in their 80’s or handicapped to help them stay safe. Your city workers are blocking already cleared driveway and sidewalks, while plowing your streets. 
And doing a poor job at that. 
As a woman with arthritis, a citizen, tax payer to this property and city, this is unacceptable.
I understand they are doing their job during emergencies, but they should be considerate of the streets they’re plowing.
I do more than my fair share and clean the sidewalks around my property and some that I am not responsible for.  all for  the safety of the elderly peoples who resides on the Belair tower who happens to walk on foot in front of my house. 
However, your city workers are cleaning and making these sidewalks incredibly dangerous for all of us. 
Because of the horrible conditions your city workers leave these sidewalks, I just watched an elderly man who resides at the Belair tower apartment almost get hit by a car because he had to walk on the street. 
This is terrible.
In addition to witnessing this, I have cleared my driveway three times today and your city plowers keeps burying it back up with zero regard of how cold it is out that someone has to spend time out there to undo their bad job.
There has to be something you as their leader can do or say, when we encounter snow days such as this.
And today 2/2/26 late afternoon they finally made ways on the sidewalk for pedestrians on my street. Here is the disgraceful and disgusting insult towards me and my home on 95 Belair st.

They plowed the entire street very nice and clean. And left everyone’s driveway clear as they found it.
Not mine. They plowed everything from in front of my hose and directly sprayed upwards to half of my clean driveway on purpose and left a giant mess and block me in as well.
To make matters worse they damaged and broke my property retaining wall and delivered a very large stone in my driveway.
I do not understand why. Come see for yourself.
I hope the city is prepared to fix my wall or send this guy to do it.

You may want to send a Highway Department Supervisor up to this location to look at the damage done to the roadway by a Bobcat excavator
while clearing snow in the yard it appears for a driveway

i live at corner of Gladwood and Van Cliff and plow pushed snow into my backyard damaging the guardrail we had there, mangled steel now still all out. not only dangerous but this will need to be fixed/removed please.

My fence broke and fell in the river right next to the fence that broke.

I have gone over to the owner of these chicken at 245 Ettrick St to tell them keep their chicken on their yard but yet they keep letting the chickens out every day. I don’t live on a farm and do not wish to have chickens on my deck or in my yard.
