Is it possible to get a no turn on red at Federal and north street on the courthouse block? The visibility is poor due to trees and plantings, cars constantly honk at cars not turning on red. Recently cars have been going around cars by jumping the curb to get out onto north street. Drivers need to realize that from federal people can also go straight down the ramp to bridge street and not just right at north street. It has escalated to people yelling at each other when cars won’t turn either and seems to be through traffic off Washington trying to skip the light at Washington and bridge street exacerbating the problem. If federal at the courthouse also had speed bumps to slow the traffic and make it a less appealing “time saver” cut through it would minimize the aggression at the intersection.

We have lived in this neighborhood for almost 9 years now, and frequently walk our young children and dogs down west Avenue to Forest River Park and throughout this neighborhood. Shouldn’t there be some sort of traffic sign at this intersection? Should there at least be a yield sign? Should there be a stop sign? It seems really dangerous to me that people sometimes just come flying down into forest river park or flying down and making a quick right turn onto West Avenue. Thank you for considering this.

Cross walk sign missing from the top of Williams St. Going over to the Common, please replace with one with springs that bounces back after someone hits it.

There should be a better signage for crossing. People are not stopping at the cross walk. Either looking at the phones or ignoring.

Signs on fence violate city ordinance on signage

This one way does not have a stop sign. I was entering the crosswalk and a driver did not stop or slow down to turn right onto Derby St. and narrowly managed not to hit me. This is not the first time it has happened to me at this location.

Very grateful for the new lights at the intersection. But there are still a few things that need to happen to avoid head on collisions.
    1) stop sign removed from Wilson Street
    2) no parking sign on Wilson Street (from the light to about 3 car lengths up Wilson Street on both sides)
And the biggest one of all...
A "No turn on red" sign for the cars on Wilson turning right onto Jefferson.

Almost saw a head on collisions bc someone turned right on red onto Jefferson.

New sidewalks were completed 3 weeks ago. Street sign post with the Keon Square memorial sign is still laying on the guardrail.
  • Oliver St & Washington Sq N Salem, Massachusetts, 01970 - City of Salem
Crosswalk sign hit, knocked down, and broken
  • 12 Sylvan Street Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
There is no one way sign at the top of Sylvan St. I have seen many cars and large trucks fly up the street the wrong way. Someone is going to get hurt. This is a reasonable request!
  • 7 Pope St Salem MA 01970, United States - City of Salem

Pope St sees wrong way drivers atleast twice a day mostly tourist visiting the memorial.

I have complained before about it, but the city seems to have no regard for the safety of its residents here or the ignorant tourists we deal with on a daily basis. Some updated, visible ONE WAY signs and a speed radar sign would be much appreciated for the speed racers flying down here from Procter.

Only a matter of time before one of the cities precious tourists are injured.
