Traffic SignalsOpenArbella St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of SalemArbella Street needs *something* to calm or limit the traffic cutting through this narrow street. The amount of trucks, RVs, tour buses and speeding cars is unsustainable. Cars parked on the street are routinely hit, tree branches get hit by trucks, and kids and pets aren't safe. Not trying to be a drama queen or a Karen, but it's been bad for a while, and has gotten much much worse. Make it a one way, put "not a through way" signs, speed bumps...I'd welcome anything.

Traffic SignalsOpenBoston St & Grove St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of SalemWhen the light signals for pedestrian crossing there is no sound/audio/signal to indicate to start walking. Very dangerous to not have signal sound and visual cue to safely cross.
-
Traffic SignalsOpen43-71 Lafayette St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of SalemThere is no audio signal on 3 corners of the intersection. I am visually impaired and can't see the walk signal so I rely on the audio signal to safely cross the street.

Traffic SignalsOpen64 Flint St Salem, MA 01970, USA - City of SalemComing down from Flint street from Mason St., crossing Bridge street, there is a brand new signal that now has a left turn arrow. However, when the left turn arrow is green, oncoming traffic going straight or right onto Flint street still has a green light. Plus everyone is just running a red light, which is plausible but unlikely. It is somewhat misleading because even though traffic coming from the Mason street end of Flint street has a green arrow, oncoming traffic does not stop.

Traffic SignalsAcknowledged1 Harrington Ct Salem, MA 01970, USA - City of SalemNo northbound signal for bicycles on Flint to cross over Bridge. Bicycles forced to either dismount and hit pedestrian crossing button, wait for a car to activate NB signal or run the red light once traffic clears.
This intersection was just redone this year and feeds into a new mixed use path so it's very odd how unsafe it is to bike here. -

Traffic SignalsAcknowledgedFairmount St & Nursery St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
Fairmount St. should have a stop sign at Nursery Street.
Many drivers come down Nursery Street every day in order to get to Beverly via the Kernwood Bridge. I think every logical driver would assume that the stop signs on Nursery (at Fairmount and Appleton) are "all-way stops".
Traffic on Appleton, crossing Nursey, does have a stop sign in both directions. But traffic on Fairmount does not have stop signs in either direction as they cross Nursery.
Yes, it works as it is currently designed, but it's inconsistent, and I see problems in this area all the time, because the two intersections are set up differently.
A more consistent setup of the two intersections as you travel down Nursery Street would make for a safer situation for everyone.
