    Generally, is there anything the city can do to improve traffic flow at this intersection? Everyday during rush hour there are very long backups, sometimes as far as to the bridge near the commuter rail station. Can the lights be retimed to allow more traffic to clear on North Street before changing for cross traffic and pedestrians?

The pedestrian signal comes on even though no one pushes the walk button. And if you could actually pave the roads so driving isn’t like going over an Olympic moguls course, that would be great.
