    The tree in front of Koto Grill has overgrown and the roots are coming up underneath and popping up the sidewalk. When it rains it the sidewalk now slopes toward the building causing large puddles and water entering the building. The sidewalk is very uneven here and has been the cause of many trip and falls. But, the real issue is the tree roots.

    The City planted two tulip trees in front of 20 Central Street. The leaves of both trees are turning brown and beginning to drop. I expect this is due to a lack of water for how they are planted. In past springtimes, the leaves would brown and would perk up if the water gaters were kept full. The water gaters were recently removed, although they were not being filled. I expect these trees will die if not kept watered. Even with all the rain we have had, it's not enough.

    A request to remove this dead tree was made on May 17 along with a request to replace it. It is still under warranty with the City of Salem. It appears as if the initial request was closed and archived. No one has come to inspect it yet. Please advise status. Thank you.

    This tree isn't doing well. The roots are bound by the pavement and it is not getting enough water. You can see in the picture that many branches are not producing leaves. Please come out and look at this tree so we can save it. Three other trees have died on our street so we really want to save this one.
