This location next to the Phillips School on Washington Square South (84-88 Essex St.) is close enough to the Hawthorne Boulevard neighborhood to be replanted through the NS CDC Tree Replacement Fund payment. Consider planting a matched pair of tall shade trees symmetrically to frame the school.

The May 2025 storm damaged the 8-year old elm on the corner of Flint and Federal and the whole tree was removed. The city planted trees last year and I was hoping to have a tree planted on the sidewalk in front of where the white fence is located which is to the left side of 8 Goodell street. (The sidewalk where the car is on the street). I met with Dan the arborist who stated that the city needed to be notified first. Thankyou.

We were granted a tree request a few years to no avail. Dig safe came out a couple of years ago and marked area but no tree was planted. Bridge St area is a heat zone so a tree will be greatly appreciated and I would be happy to care for it.
