There are NO speed limit signs going south from Salem Hospital all the way to the pedestrian bridge after Crowdis St. where there is a 35 mph sign. There is one 30 mph speed limit sign going south by Collins Middle School. One 30 mph sign fell down on the SW corner of Colby St. 3 years ago and has not been replaced! The speed limit is 30 mph on Highland Ave. from the pedestrian bridge going north but only one sign and not until you get to the Salem Hospital.
Result: Highland Ave. can be renamed "The Salem Speedway!"
Signs need to be posted every few blocks on this main north south road.
I would also suggest LOWERING the speed limit to 25 mph until the pedestrian bridge then up to 30 mph maximum to the Lynn line. Safety first! Many cars and trucks! also routinely go 45-50 when traffic is light....This was originally posted back on 6/20/2020 and NO new speed limit signs have yet been installed. On 6/26/2020, Officer Dana Mazola was killed by a speeding car (going 55 mph in a 25 mph zone) on Jefferson Ave. Please take action to stop the speeding! Enough said.

City Street SignsAberta29 Harbor St Salem, MA 01970, USA - City of Salemwe've had several cars traveling fast the wong way on one-way Harbor St this week. I checked the cross streets and some have no "one-way" signs, there are no "wrong way" signs, and some others are hard to see. I hope the city can come check it out and help. i have several videos of the cars going the wrong way, appears to be accidentally, not intentional

City Street SignsAbertaGrove St & Mason St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of SalemThis intersection is hazardous, please consider adding an additional stop or yield sign near the old moose lodge. The spacing of signs here makes it dangerous to cross from the harmony Grove cemetery side of Grove either on foot or in a vehicle.

City Street SignsAberta61-99 West Ave Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of SalemWe have lived in this neighborhood for almost 9 years now, and frequently walk our young children and dogs down west Avenue to Forest River Park and throughout this neighborhood. Shouldn’t there be some sort of traffic sign at this intersection? Should there at least be a yield sign? Should there be a stop sign? It seems really dangerous to me that people sometimes just come flying down into forest river park or flying down and making a quick right turn onto West Avenue. Thank you for considering this.

Other - City IssuesAberta1 Turner St Salem 01970, United States - City of SalemThere have been a lot of large trucks trying to drive down Turner Street this year. Some of them have been towing trailers with large boats or trucks carrying moorings. This morning, a truck carrying moorings had to back half way down Turner Street after the driver realized he made a mistake. I’ve also seen your buses turn down Turner Street on their way to the House of Seven Gables. I believe most of these vehicles are using GPS to get to the marina near the ferry landing. Could we put signs up restricting truck traffic on Turner Street unless it is for a delivery on the street and/or reclassify the street so GPS stops directing traffic down Turner Street?

City Street SignsAberta15 Summer Street Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of SalemCould we please have illuminated "Yield" signs at this rotary? Many drivers need a stronger jolt to break the habit of sailing though the intersection, especially in the evening.
