    I own the property at 265 Essex Street that also abuts Barton Square. I have to pay for private trash collection and the City has called me on several occasions because my private service comes too early in the morning and the residents who choose to live downtown call and complain. I have previously contacted the City about the abutting property putting their city issued trash and recycling containers against my building, but for some reason my calls and concerns go unaddressed. I should not have to put up with an inconsiderate neighbor who thinks its ok to put his smelly trash containers against my first floor tenant's window when they have plenty of sidewalk in front of their own building. If the city won't address this issue and my concerns, then don't call me the next time someone calls and complains about my trash pickup.

    It looks like the auto businesses across the street from our home on Jefferson Ave overflow their recycle/trash and then leave them close to the curb where the wind is constantly picking up and throwing trash to our side of the street. There’s so much trash… it’s disgusting and we’re constantly picking things up.

These are regular trash bags and not the orange overflow bags. my condo association nearby pays for monthly exterminators-- not blaming them, but their overpowering trash probably doesn't help.
