City of Salem IYO

Everyday that I cross at the light in front of the depot cars always blow through the red light even with groups of pedestrians in the crosswalk. The walk light is on several seconds after the light is red so obviously the cars are running the light. Why can’t there be a camera at that light or monitored somehow?? The city wants ppl to take the train in but then it’s not even safe for them to cross the street at the light! Do better SPD

The No Turn On Red sign is hung so that drivers mostly see it edge-on, so they probably don't notice it. It should be hung so that it faces the right-lane driver on Washington face-on.

Pedestrians crossing North St and vehicles turning onto North St from Orne and School Streets have a green light at the same time. Pedestrian light is very brief and cars are often failing to yield to pedestrians crossing North St. Could traffic dept look into the timing of traffic lights at this intersection? Thank you.

Webb street to bridge left not working skipping cycles and taking to long. I suspect bad sensor or overweight trucks hauling poop have broken the light

The pedestrian cross signal in front of 38 Boston street is at a 45ﾟ angle and cannot be seen from across the street again. This is a dangerous crossing area as many cars go through the red light.

At the intersection of North Street and School Street, I noticed that the walk signal for pedestrians was still on when the green left turn arrow allowed vehicles on Orne Street to turn left onto North Street (heading towards downtown Salem). I think that the timing on the light, or the button that stops traffic in all directions for pedestrians, is broken. This is a very dangerous issue for pedestrians.

The Don’t Walk light in front of 52 Broad St is not working.

One of the lights is not working at the Webb st crosswalk by Pickman street, which is a very busy crosswalk at times. This would explain why a van almost ran my wife over at the weekend at this crosswalk when she had the walk signal.

This light IS technically working, but not in a safe way. It now either flashes red, or sometimes goes to a solid red, but either way it is extremely difficult to turn left or right here. People speed through this intersection and often times there are cars blocking the view, so trying to get out here, either in a car or walking, is extremely dangerous. Can this PLEASE be turned into a REGULAR light that turns green, yellow, and red? Why is it like this??

Please consider putting traffic lights and an additional cross walk. When crossing winter cars coming from the train station direction can not see us begin to cross and there is not a cross walk on that side. Many families cross here and i myself have almost been hit multiple times because they didn't see us or there is too much congestion it's always a mess at this intersection stop lights all 4 directions would be amazing with a crossing signal. I can press the button 3 times

School speed limit sign needs to be re-timed. It doesn't turn on during school hours, but flashes at 8 or 9 pm at night.
