People aren't following the cross walk signal that blinks yellow. Can it be changed to a red light. Dangerous to cross.
  • Liberty Hill Ave & North St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
    Walk signal is not working
  • Orne Sq Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
Apparently GPS is sending people down Orne Square (a one way street) the wrong direction. This is now happening regularly, and the sharp curve means this is quite dangerous. Any chance we could get some prominent signage at Hathorne to drivers who don't know better? Thanks!

Request for pedestrian flashing crosswalk sign and lights. It's a major intersection with a long crosswalk and plenty of blind spots for cars/pedestrians. It's also right next to a common pedestrian area with businesses and a bar.
  • Washington St @ New Derby St Salem, MA 01970, USA - City of Salem
Pedestrian walk sign is blinking with both walk and stop at the same time

Winthrop Hawthorne need to one ways in some fashion. Already to narrow snow makes worse. Worst park nig cut through for Mar legend Swampscott residents.
  • Norman St Salem MA 01970, United States - City of Salem
At the corner of Washington and Norman the pedestrian walk button is very loose on the pole

There's something wrong with the light at the intersection of Cherry Hill Ave and Highland Ave. The light will not turn green if no one is in the right lane. I've sat through five cycles where it skips me and it only seems to change once someone pulls up to the right lane.

This means people are either potentially waiting forever to make a left turn, are forced to run a light (unsafely due to visibility), or illegally turn left from the right lane.

Please fix this asap. I would walk to some locations but as reported countless times the road lacks sidewalks and drivers constantly speed so walking is also unsafe.

The not so “smart lights” are malfunctioning. I sat through 5 light cycles this morning to go 150 yards from Washington st to St Peter st. They appear to be doing the same thing this evening.

As a cyclist, making a left from Sargent Ayube Memorial Drive onto Bridge Street, the signal does not work. There is a market indicating that bicycles should wait at the head of the queue to make a left, but the sensor does not detect a bicycle. I waited three light cycles before proceeding on red-for-left, because I could not get a left green light.

This image was taken from my bedroom where I hear cars laying on their horns around the clock. Drivers cannot see the posted sign to turn right after red. The red solid light needs to be turned into a BLINKING red light so people know to proceed into the intersection after stopping, and needs to be a solid red arrow during the crosswalk signal. This is a safety issue for pedestrians because cars do not stay stopped for the pedestrian walk signal because they believe they can go through the red light. There needs to be a clear distinction for drivers when to stay STOPPED and when they can proceed with caution. This is an extremely inefficient light and a danger to the public.

The traffic light outside of the MBTA garage is causing a ton of issues. The red light (leaning the garage) is so long that I have personally witnessed three "left on reds" this week. The timing or sensors need to be fixed. Salem claims to be transportation friendly yet driving home for the train during peak times is a horror show forcing drivers to make illegal turns or wait forever to leave for home. Figure it out, please.
