City of Salem IYO

Several very large (will cause car damage if hit at speed) potholes between the mini golf and the entrance to Salem glass in the direction heading towards Salem. Cars are swerving to avoid and crossing the yellow line (another accident risk).

This pothole is in the center of Linden street across from no. 23 and no. 25. Being in the middle of the road, you would think people wouldn’t drive over it but you would be wrong.

There are 4 to 5 bad pot holes here about 100 feet apart all the way to the traffic circle.
Just tonight there were 3 cars pulled over changing tires.

Very large and deep pothole in the vicinity of 313 Bridge Street which damaged my tire on Saturday night, 2/28/2026. I was driving towards Beverly around 11:15pm. I did not see it as it was very dark. To avoid the pothole, you need to drive over the yellow lines. I had to change my tire and a new one cost me $305. I will be submitting a claim.

There are at least five (5) potholes on Swampscott Road coming from Swampscott, too many to list their exact locations. However, if the crew just drives down the road they will find them. They extend all the way up to the intersection with Highland Avenue. Several are very large. There are also at least two (2) potholes on Swampscott Road, coming from Highland Avenue heading towards Swampscott.

There are several potholes on Loring Avenue just after the intersection with Vinnin Street coming from downtown Salem.

Multiple potholes between Aggregate and the rotary at First Street.

I reported this yesterday as I hit this pothole just passed the Babe heading towards Marblehead. I reported it as a car breaking pothole and when I reported it I said there was no damage but I stand corrected. I got out and I hit it so hard that the inner tie rod bellows had pulled off the steering rack so without what you do I figured I'd go out and fix it after I shoveled the snow tonight what scared me was the amount of oil coming from my transfer case and I was able to reattach the bellows temporarily as I'll need the proper zip tie to do it but unfortunately with the CV axle goes into the transfer case it's a four wheel drive Toyota Tacoma there was oil leaking significantly. We had to pull the truck into the driveway and of course the amount of oil that was on the ground from the transfer case was shocking. I have no idea what this is going to cost but I'm definitely going to file a claim. Again this is a car breaking pothole and I'm not sure of the exact address there on Washington but it's Route 114 just passed the babe heading towards marblehead. Drivers beware

Giant pothole in the right turn lane onto Highland.

Huge pot hole/trench both lane very deep.3-4 inches

12 inch round & deep

260 Lafayette St. large pothole needs immediate attention.
