there seems to be a problem with the grading of the road to the right of the storm drain next to my driveway which limits the drainage and creates a backup of water. The grading is such that a few leaves can block the passage of water. This is real issue esp during winter.

This basin as well as the others with this nylon lining and full of debris, such that any heavy storm will overwhelm them. If these are meant to keep construction debris out of the system, they'll fail because once they get backed up, all the debris will float back into the road and down the remaining open drains (along with flooding the nearby areas).

That said, it's doubtful what's in there is construction related anyway because two of the three lined basins are on the other side of the street from where the building is happening. These two linings serve no purpose and are limiting water drainage on an already problematic corner. They need to be removed, not ignored.

The previous request was marked CLOSED but nothing was changed or fixed.

Three basins along Forrester (near Emerton) have construction cloth lining them, all of which have several inches of dirt/mud built up. But the problem here is WE CAN'T HAVE THEM ON THIS STREET. We have flooding already when every basin is open. Now we get flooding any time it rains hard.
Moreover: These filters aren't actually working as intended because once the the drains go past capacity any debris trapped by the cloth just gets pushed up and out those basins, disperses into the flooded street and eventually go down the more open drains.

It would be one thing if these drains were catching all kinds of construction related debris, and then they got deposited into a dumpster or wherever, but they don't. They only contribute to more frequent flooding and then dump out any debris all at once.

We need them 100% REMOVED. Not looked into, or have better monitoring, but removed.

Thinking contractors are going to monitor these when it rains is nonsensical, first and foremost, because it assumes they'd even be here during any given storm. No one is going to rush out a 2AM to check on the drains at their jobsite. Please have them remove them asap, before we get additional storms coming through.
