At the corner of Washington and Norman the pedestrian walk button is very loose on the pole
  • Highland Ave & Willson St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem

There's something wrong with the light at the intersection of Cherry Hill Ave and Highland Ave. The light will not turn green if no one is in the right lane. I've sat through five cycles where it skips me and it only seems to change once someone pulls up to the right lane.

This means people are either potentially waiting forever to make a left turn, are forced to run a light (unsafely due to visibility), or illegally turn left from the right lane.

Please fix this asap. I would walk to some locations but as reported countless times the road lacks sidewalks and drivers constantly speed so walking is also unsafe.

  • Bridge St Salem MA 01970, United States - City of Salem
Signal has no power- not flashing or working- two intersections
  • 70a Loring Avenue Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
The audible pedestrian signal was not working today at the median of the Canal/Loring crossing between CVS and Central Salem State campus. Waited through several cycles to confirm this problem and activated the button several times over a 20 minute period. Very dangerous to not have this signal working at this complex intersection where the median APS is essential to move from the median to complete the crossing for those unable to cross both Canal and Loring in the provided 30 second interval. Also, could overall volume be louder here? Beacon and walk sound are both soft relative to traffic. Thank you.

    same as everyone else
Traffic Light never turns Green to take a left onto Boston St.
I have been complaining about this dangerous intersect for 12 years and nothing ever gets done.
  • Bridge St & St Peter St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
The light at the corner of St. Peter and Bridge Street has not been working for over a week now. It only flashes. It is dangerous for people taking a left onto Bridge from St. Peter, especially during rush hour. There is going to be an accident, if there hasn't been one already.
  • 234 Bridge St Salem 01970, United States - City of Salem
The not so “smart lights” are malfunctioning. I sat through 5 light cycles this morning to go 150 yards from Washington st to St Peter st. They appear to be doing the same thing this evening.
  • Federal St & North St Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
Over the weekends leading up to Halloween and on Halloween itself, the traffic signal at the intersection of North and Federal streets is changed to a flashing orange (for drivers on North) and flashing red (for the drivers exiting Federal). While this portion of Federal Street has relatively little traffic exiting it, pedestrians still need to cross this intersection safely and cannot do so when the lights are disabled. I’ve had several close calls over the last month trying to cross this street in broad daylight. Tragically, this safety issue culminated in a pedestrian being struck by a car here in a hit and run accident on Halloween night. I am requesting that these lights not be disabled OR that a police officer be posted here when they are to manage the flow of traffic and ensure pedestrian safety.

  • 19 Broad Street Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
Dangerous road for pedestrians. Was trying to cross and even had a flash light with me to signal to drivers to slow down. Several cars sped up to not let me pass and one even honked at me so I knew they would hit me if I tried.
  • Fort Ave Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
Can someone please explain what those new things are along the bike path on Fort ave. Today I saw workers installing small black markers every few feet to the road. Are we going to keep doing things to these bike lanes over and over. Enough is enough. Why do we take every penney the state gives in grants even if it makes no sense in Salem.

Right turn signal still not triggering Fix it or remove the "no turn on right" sign so we don't need to wait for literal eternity
