PSA. So I have done some research on the newer traffic light systems. Most of the newer ones are using cameras to see your vehicle. Sometimes they fall out of adjustment due to the mast getting hit by wind etc. I find it helpful if you are the first car in the line to pull right up to the line so it triggers the cycle. In theory it should see you but it depends on how the imaginary boxes were set up in the lane to detect vehicles.

People often run the red light on north st at mason st intersection. Very unsafe for pedestrians. I was in the crosswalk a few days ago and 5 cars(!) went through the red light. The crossing guard in the afternoons told me he’s been nearly hit multiple times. Can a cop ever monitor it or can a camera be put on the light? Someone is def going to be hit or a bad accident. I figure nothing will be done tho as this is also a big issue on Lafayette and other busy streets.

Not working properly, cycling red fast

From Bypass Rd green arrow only allows 1-2 cars to turn left onto Bridge St. Causes long back ups.

Yet again the left turn signal at the intersection of Canal and Mill is not working. I sat there for 15 minutes and had to turn around, signal would not change to green for a left turn.

Light facing traders way often doesn’t switched green for extended periods of time

This light is not working. It stays red for North / Summer St when NO one is there on Bridge / Federal St for literally minutes on end, causing a backup to the bridge. Guessing it’s a sensor for Bridge St right turn lane? Please fix this.

This traffic light is not timed correctly and needs adjusting; the light at Paradise Rd/Vinnin Street has been increasingly backed up (on Essex past TD Bank) - when it turns green nobody can go (Vinnin St at Salem Street is usually red, with a line of 3-4 cars blocking the entire intersection). Because of this issue people have been driving through red lights on a regular basis, making the intersection unsafe for all.

The traffic light signal is to short of a cycle only long enough for three Carsten go through, it is causing traffic to back up in parking lot of Walmart
