City of Clearwater PLUS

I reported this 2 weeks ago. Thank you for coming out. The problem seems to be worse. It floods on the corn of Rainbow and Mars right in front of the apartments. It doesn't take much before it floods. I am afraid of what will happen during a real storm. The water floods the parking lot. Please come out and take another look. Thank you.

Concerns over stormwater drainage and remedies for street flooding and I am asking for any information on project progress. Particularly at intersections of Forest View Dr and Briarbluff Ln.

mowing the drainage ditch. This was maintained by the county until we annexed into the city of Clearwater. Since that time when it needed to be mowed, we had to call and complain about this. Each time the city has told us we need to maintain this ditch but once they sent a supervisor to look at it, they have agreed that we cannot mow this ditch. They then mow it. They also sy they will put it on the schedule to be mowed but never do. Now someone else has complained about this ditch and code enforcement is trying to make us mow it. Jane is 74 and has two herniated disks. I am 62 have balance issues and broke my ankle in six places from a fall off a ladder. I have difficulty on uneven surfaces. When we explain this to the city they are now saying we need to hire somebody to maintain their property. This ditch requires specialized equipment which no homeowner would have or own. We already maintain the ditch in front of our property and the flat area around this ditch. Both of those areas can be mowed and maintained We have asked the city to do something about this put in a pipe and fill over it so we can mow it. Cement the sides and bottom so it does not need mowing. Change the slop on the sides so a mower can be used. They keep saying it is on the five year plan and yet 7 years have gone by with no action.

Crews came out and cut back the overgrowth along part of the creek. I was told by one if the crew that dredging of the creek just east of Kings highway was scheduled to be done. Is that in the schedule. The water gets nearly stopped due to sediment making an island at that point.

Resident is concerned with rain/ storm water overflow on east side of his property on corner of San Jose and N Bayshore Blvd. He believes city stormwater may be clogged and not accepting water flow.

Stormwater drainage ditch is overgrown and needs maintenance at this culvert in the Oak creek division. Also overgrown is the city property, at the ROW point on Oak Creek Dr E. Thank you.

Country Hollow Park

I have lived on this park since 1996. I have seen more flooding into the park than ever before. After the hurricane there was a large amount of debris in the drain portion of the canal side of the park. There were blue tarps over the drain and the city responded and cleared the visible drain portion and in the canal. My concern is some debris causing a clog somewhere past the drain. In the past years with a very heavy long rain the water would fill about 1/4 of the way on the length of the field. Never before did it fill this much water. This rain was Sunday October 5 at 6:00 pm. Having this check out would be much appreciated

Flooding continues near end of street during routine summer rainfall. This issue caused the flooding of multiple homes last year and needs expedited repair/maintenance.
