Miscellaneous Code ConcernΑναγνωρισμένο667 Bay Esplanade Clearwater Beach, Florida, 33767 - Clearwater BeachLooking to rent a property in clearwater. I see there is an open permit for construction. I also see that permits need final inspection prior to receiving a certificate of occupancy. Before i rent this property can you tell me if a certificate of occupancy is required to rent a property in clearwater?

Right-of-Way Tree MaintenanceΑναγνωρισμένο1746 Lombardy Dr Clearwater, FL, 33755, USA - ClearwaterIn the picture I submitted look at the tree behind the blue recycling can. It is leaning to the left, it used to stand up straight. Our house is to the right and our yard is upheaved and concrete is cracking. The owner to the right, where the tree is, does not deal with the problem. We have talked to her, other neighbors have talked to her. We need help. Her power line is hanging in the tree and a potential fire in the neighborhood is eminent. PLEASE HELP

Miscellaneous Code ConcernΆνοιγμα629-635 S Gulfview Blvd Clearwater, FL, 33767, USA - Clearwater Beach
Mrs. Matzke,
I’ve been informed by the Code Enforcement Department that you are currently investigating the matter outlined below. As you know, the City of Clearwater utilizes SeeClickFix as a public-facing platform to promote transparency and open communication with residents. In the interest of both transparency and the appropriate use of this forum, I respectfully request that updates regarding the status and progress of this investigation be shared directly through SeeClickFix.Additionally, please instruct the Code Enforcement Division not to close this case on SeeClickFix until the matter has been fully resolved. That is standard operating procedure, correct?
Ongoing Violation of Clearwater Code 6.31 at Shephard’s Beach Resort
Description:
This complaint specifically concerns the deck adjacent to Shephard’s Beach Resort, which extends beyond the seawall and is constructed almost entirely on publicly owned beach property.
Alcohol is being served on this deck, which is a direct violation of Clearwater Code Section 6.31(4)(c), which prohibits the sale, possession, or consumption of alcohol on publicly owned property — with no exemption for leased land or alleged easements.
To date, no public explanation has been provided regarding:
Why enforcement has not occurred.
Whether any lease, easement, or agreement supposedly allows this activity.
Whether any agency is holding Shephard’s accountable to the code.
I respectfully request the following:
That this complaint remain open and visible on SeeClickFix so the public can follow any developments.
That the Planning & Development Department, the City Manager’s Office, and Code Enforcement post updates here, not just through private emails or phone calls.
That the City clarify whether it intends to enforce Code Section 6.31 — or if not, to explain publicly why enforcement does not apply.
This issue involves public land, public regulations, and a business that has long operated without apparent consequence. Citizens have a right to ask: Why not enforce the law?
If I’ve misunderstood something, I welcome clarification — but please post it here for public review.
Thank you.

Miscellaneous Code ConcernΑναγνωρισμένο3316 San Mateo St Clearwater, Florida, 33759 - Del Oro Groves
The homeowner at 3316 San Mateo St. has erected an alarm post in the front public right of way near where the extended property line between it and 3310 San Mateo St.
It is not on the property boundary lines pursuant to the instructions by city engineer to find the original platted rod with a metal detector. The 3316 homeowner removed that marker and put this alarm post on public right of way west of the sprinkler head that was installed in 1969 by the 3310 homeowner after a land survey was completed.
Please have it removed. The post alarm marks no boundary, was not erected by a surveyor or city official and goes off when I access my property or the public right of way in front of my property.
Thank you.

Trees - Private PropertyΆνοιγμα3126 Bordeaux Ln Clearwater, Florida, 33759 - ClearwaterAlong our whole property line, there are several trees and brushes that are starting to grow over mine in our neighbor's fences. Are those going to be trimmed at all? Also it seems like some of the trees are pushing in my fence on our property line. I would just like to see if this was going to get addressed.

Planning & DevelopmentΆνοιγμαWork was done at my condo by TWI for a building refurbishment project contracted by my HOA. The track for my previously installed hurricane shutters used to sit flush with the balcony floor, able to be anchoed down into the concrete. The track was removable and stored on the wall when not in use. TWI resurfaced the balconies, slopped, waterproofed, and resurfaced them as part of the building refurbishment project. I haven't been back to the unit until recently, after the work had just been "completed". I removed the track to put it away, assuming TWI had installed it just to check the fit. Underneath, you'll see from the pics, is some sort of built up concrete cluster F'. The bolts no longer anchor into the balcony, but instead into 1/2-3/4 strip of unreinforced concrete which is already coming apart. There is no way my shutters are up to code. Additionally, this strip has created a pool for water to accumulate and not drain. I'd like to know who from the city inspected this project and approved this work? I'd like to have it reinspected please? Thank you.
