City of Albany PLUS

There is a person in this vehicle who has not moved for at least two weeks. The car does not have plates.

He just sits in the car while it's running with the lights on constantly and just watches people enter and exit Knox Alley. He never leaves. It has become very uncomfortable for the people living here. Can someone please come and check it out before it becomes a problem?

Should the police be called? Please help.

There are several abandoned vehicles that need to be removed.

Grey Nissan without license plates parked on corner of Southern Blvd & Mountain St. (next to house at 315 Mountain St.)

There is a private BAD BOYS RACING TEAM trailer parked on the grass by the school for months it has been reported a number of times by neighbors but the city won't do a thing because the owner works for the city. guess anyone can park anywhere as long as they know someone and won't get a ticket

Adult female resident of the home seen viciously kicking dog.

Can hear dogs from street barking loudly and crying from window- no AC in window or signs of fan in window and it is HOT today. Very concerned for the well being of these barking/crying dogs.

This person is feeding stray cats..cats are breeding and urinating/defecating in all neighbors yards. Now drawing other rodents that are now taking over the area. This has been reported numerous times and the city it’s doing nothing about it.

Person from residence screaming/cursing and hitting dogs- dogs are yelping and crying. Coming from right side of the house.

Anywhere from 4 to 6 Lowes commercial box trucks continually parked on eigther the street or in the vacant lot on 612 3rd st. Some have no plates. This week parking enforcement car came by as trucks still parked on wrong side of street and enforcement skipped over the trucks and only placed tickets on private cars on same side. As of 03/13/24, all the trucks were back parked in the lots at 612 again. This is getting ridiculous with these trucks both on and off the street as street parking is limited. This has been going on for over a year and nothing has changed. A large number of residents on the block are fed up with this. Multiple complaints have been made and nothing seems to happen.

I began reporting this vacant building in May of 2018. Its been reported for multiple issues which include numerous structural issues, unsecured, garbage streen all through the back and alley way. Theres a drain pipe leading off the roof and out a window draining water onto another property owners garage. Theres a huge hole in the side of the building where animals go in and out. These issues are just a few that have been reported numerous times with little results.

Hello. We understand your frustration. We have cited the owner for all necessary violations and will be sending our case to court in July. We cannot send it sooner due to the enormous back up of codes court due to the pandemic. We have requested DGS secure any opening however they cannot secure any opening above the first floor. Thank you for reporting this situation. The owner of the premises has been cited and there is a current court action pending in Albany City Court.

My complaints are closed and archived......today is March 29, 2022 and still nothing has been done to this building while others in better condition are being torn down...WHY WHY WHY?????
