    Traffic on Daybreak Pkwy east and westbound is far higher that Mtn View during the weekends and non-rush hour times. Today at 1:15 PM it took THREE cycles to get across Mtn View WB and I was past Vadania Dr. There is not enough WB green time to clear traffic and traffic builds up in the middle WB meaning when WB goes green, we wait for the middle to clear out before we can go.

    Not sure what has happened over the last week. But it seems even more priority has been given to 2100 N during rush hour. I know it is given priority during peak times but something has changed the last week. It wasn't backing up on 2350 west in front of the houses after the 2300 W project was completed. But now the last week traffic is lined up and no one can get out of their driveways on 2350 W. This is directly impacted from UDOT traffic light patterns at 2100 N, so I don't want the excuse that this is not a UDOT problem. What has changed??? It needs to be fixed. We can't be held prisoners in our houses. And people are always rude about letting us out of our own driveways.

    Traffic lights are operating on a time loop schedule rather than using sensors. Traffic backs up either direction while cross traffic is empty.

    Occurred around 4:00 PM when traveling westbound on 5600, turning left onto I-15 SB. There is 30-40 seconds where WB traffic has a green light, but neither eastbound traffic, or the left turn lane onto I-15 SB have a green. After waiting for this time, then the left lane gets a protected green to turn onto I-15. I feel like extending this protected green to the beginning of the cycle would improve throughput.

    5575-5599 S 1900 W Roy, Utah, 84067 - Roy
    The traffic signal at the corner of 1900 W. and 5600 S. is not long enough for northbound traffic. Traffic is backed up to the two prior lights. I was sitting next to the Wendy’s and the light turned green and it wasn’t green long enough for me to get through the 5600 intersection. No wonder things are backing up.

    I’m an avid runner who has recently started using the pedestrian crossing on the south east corner of this intersection. I find that cars utilizing the right turn lane from Redwood Road (to continue east on 2100 N), fail to stop or yield to the no turn signal when a pedestrian is crossing. I feel it is because the “no right turn” does not match similar/surrounding intersection rules (think of the red light right turn on Triumph Blvd near Thanksgiving Point). I find myself stepping into the road to get cars to yield when the pedestrian light is up. Personally, it feels dangerous to cross. I also feel this way about the pedestrian crossing on the north west corner of this intersection. I feel the no right turn sign is ineffective, and doesn’t match similar crossing signage nearby.

    I’ve noticed during the past few days that the light will turn red for those traveling north or south on redwood so the folks traveling in either direction on 13400 S can go but the light will immediately turn back to green without letting the 13400 travelers go.

    With the new junior high school (Sage Canyon) we really need a left turn signal. On average I sit at this light in the afternoon for 5 rounds of a light cycle before making it though. The traffic backs all the way up to the yield sign at the north end of airport road. People are driving through the light and making U-turns in the neighborhood to try and get around how long the light takes and that is not safe for the kids walking or the other cars trying to get through that intersection. Or they are choosing to drive through the neighborhood to the east to make it to another intersection to turn. This also causes an increase of traffic in those neighborhoods unnecessarily because of the issue the lack of a left hand turn light causes.

    Suggestion to put in a left turn arrow at this intersection.

    Oncoming traffic is quick coming from Springville and Lakeview parkway. During busy traffic, it can take a long time to be able to turn left. As 1320 is on the way to an elementary school and is a residential neighborhood, it could be beneficial to make this a protected turn.
