We need a traffic signal at this intersection. With the additional traffic using Redwood Rd and 2300, it makes it a dangerous intersection. Traffic from 2300 trying to turn left at southbound takes so long to pull out that traffic backs up and semis will cut off other traffic because they got tired of waiting so long or can't find a good chance to go. There is not a big enough gap between north and south bound traffic to even be able to go south bound without waiting for 5-10 mins in a semi.

Traffic signal for S-N traffic on Mtn View at 3500 S. during afternoon hours are too short, resulting in traffic having to wait multiple lights to get through the intersection. Green light today at 1:15pm for N bound traffic was ~20 sec long.

Too little preference to Mountain View Traffic at this light is causing backups all the way back to the bridge. Same issue also exists at Old Bingham Hwy, but to a lesser extent

Green traffic signals went out

Light takes extremely long to change late night and early morning.

The light for east/west bound traffic takes a very long time to change, even when there is no north/south bound traffic.

Crosswalk and left turn light issues. I narrowly averted death tonight, again, crossing in the crosswalk at the light of this intersection headed North. The car didn't hit me because I saw it careening for me and took one step backwards. Tonight's incident is not an isolated incident. It happens on average twice a week when I am crossing (with a proper light up crossing signal) at all ours of the day. I live nearby and often walk to the shopping center or around the block. Many times, cars are making left turns on a left turn yield light and are not paying attention to a person in the crosswalk because they are attempting to gun it to get through a tight space in the high speed traffic on 9th East. That's exactly what happened tonight. This is a high pedestrian area. There are many apartment complexes on South Union Ave and many kids crossing that intersection to get to Hillcrest High School. Someone is going to get killed in that crosswalk. Tonight, it was almost me. That car was going 40 to 50 miles an hour to make it through on a yield only light. The city said UDOT is in charge of that light. Please make that light left turn only on green arrow. Then pedestrians will not be in the crosswalk when people are turning left. What happened to me has happened to varying degrees more times than I can recall and I'm sure it has happened to others. Someone is going to get killed in the crosswalk at this intersection by a left turn driver.

There is a light proposed here. It should be installed sooner rather than later. Everday there are more and more "close calls" we need a traffic light there to help pedestrians cross safely and to break up the flow of traffic

RECENT NEW TRAFFIC LIGHT INSTALLED HAS NO LEFT TURN LIGHT NOR ANY FLASHING YELLOW LIGHT TO INDICATE THAT YOU NEED TO YIELD TO THE TRAFFIC THAT IS COMING STRIAGHT AT YOU IF YOU ARE TURNING LEFT (WEST)... I ALERTED SPRINGVILLE PD ON THE WEEKEND, BUT THEY DID NOT SEEM CONCERNED AT ALL...

Need turning arrows, there is to much traffic west to east and not enough time to turn before light goes red.
