After getting off southbound I-15 and going east on highway 91. That light that crosses over the oncoming traffic takes forever. Even when there is no traffic going west. I sit there for 5 minutes when there is no traffic. Today I was going east from the maverick at the first light, traffic was backed up from the next light almost to our light. The light I was sitting at took 10 minutes to turn green. That is not necessarily normal for that light but is happening more and more. Please address this entire intersection because it’s horrible. I get it when traffic is terrible coming from Logan to keep more flow during those times but shouldn’t be an all day issue at those lights going east.

The walk button for pedestrian access doesn’t work on the north west corner of State St and 200 S and on the north east corner of State St and 200 S to cross east/west. The north south buttons do work. It has been many months since its stopped working, since the Astra tower was under construction and they updated the traffic lights. The only way to get them to work for East/west crossing is to hit one of the buttons on the south side of the street.
  • Mile 11 State Rte 190 Salt Lake City, UT, 84121, USA - Salt Lake County
Crosswalk light has added 45 minutes to the downcanyon commute for years during the winter. This creates a line of thousands of vehicles daily idling. This has a negative impact on air quality during the "inversion season". Also emergency vehicles transporting patients are delayed arriving at Hospitals. All of this to solve a crosswalk problem for 50 parking spaces? There needs to be a better solution for public safety and environmental impact. Google Maps/traffic data regularly shows that this light is the problem creating this congestion in BCC from 3-6PM on days where roads are dry.
  • Mile 3 Rte 85 Riverton, UT, 84065, USA - Bluffdale
When you are in the left turn lane on Porter Rockwell to head northbound on Redwood Road, anytime after 2:30 in the afternoon till 7 PM, the left turn signal only is illuminated for two seconds which allows two cars to go through. I always end up waiting anywhere from 3 to 7 light cycles to turn left onto northbound Redwood Road from Porter Rockwell. Timing needs to be adjusted now that you have NB and SB MVC traffic using porter Rockwell to access Redwood.
  • W Center St & N Redwood Rd North Salt Lake, UT, 84054, USA - North Salt Lake
Left turn light way too short. Only let's 3 cars through.
  • W Cedar Fort Rd Saratoga Springs, UT, 84045, USA - Saratoga Springs
When heading eastbound on SR73 the left arrow turning northbound onto mountain view is way too short. It has gotten worse. It’s really bad during peak hours but I’ve been noticing even not peak hours that it’s gotten pretty backed up. The light doesn’t stay green very long.

  • 2766-2798 N Old Highway 89 Ephraim, UT, 84627, USA - Sanpete County
Hello. This is a request for a traffic light and reduced speed signs to be installed at Old Hwy.89 and East Johnson Ave. This is a very dangerous intersection now in that people traveling North are picking up speed to leave town and others are still going faster as they approach on the 4 lane portion of the highway from the North. People trying to cross the highway either as a pedestrian or in a car are in the cross hairs of faster traffic. There is a new residential area on the East side now of at least ten homes. Many patrons of the Manti temple use this intersection coming and going. Making a left turn off of Johnson Rd. onto 89 is particularly more hazardous now. Also it is very hazardous for pedestrians and cyclists trying to cross over to the East side for the high school, fair grounds, store, etc.

  • 37.16656 -113.37777 - Hurricane
There is a Stopped Traffic Ahead warning signal around this location that hasn’t worked in at least a few weeks. Looks like it’s solar so probably needs a new battery or something. Thanks!
  • 1824 W Pleasant Grove Blvd Pleasant Grove, Utah, 84062 - Pleasant Grove

A follow up on request id 20911688

UDOT responded that drivers are allowed to turn on red after stopping but this is incorrect. Please see the attached picture of the current signage installed. There are no right turns on red at this light which means traffic can only flow on green arrow only. There is no need to restrict traffic this much especially during off peak hours.

UDOTs response to the original issue

There isn’t a time-of-day restriction on right turns at this intersection. Right turns from southbound State Street to westbound Pleasant Grove Boulevard are allowed at all times. The green arrow only appears when another movement is protected. At other times, drivers can still turn right on a green light, or on red after stopping and yielding, as allowed by law. The signal does not restrict right turns during off-peak hours, weekends, or evenings.
