This detailing shop is washing cars in their parking lot, and the runoff of the water and chemicals floods my sidewalk and this time of year it freezes up. I know that 35-40 years ago Aiello oil was using that building for their oil company, he had someone come out and see why his drain wasn't draining He was told the pipe was broken and that he shouldn't wash the trucks off in that parking lio

I recently bought this property in June of 2023, according to the realtor and broker this suppose to be a no flood zone my property constantly over flooded including front property, basement , side yard and front yard.

All the drainage from the street and houses above us is coming down to ours and the neighbors house. I have 3 active streams on my property and that is AFTER measure have been taken to divert water away from my house. This is not a just when it rains or snows situation it is a 24/7 situation.

Within the last few years, our backyard has flooded during rainy weather and water has entered into our basement. We have been unable to use our backyard space for a few years due to flooding We have also been unable to use parts of our lower level of our home due to water entering in through the back door from the amount of water flooding our yard. Our contract states that we are not in a flood zone but we have dealt with problem for a very long time. We would like to know what can be done to resolve this issue so we can began to use our yard worry free. .

Drainage from street above is causing flooding in our yard. We have spent several years installing significant additional drainage but the issue persists. At least one neighboring property is also impacted by the flow of water from the street above. When the water drains through the yard and onto our street, it also causes ice to form throughout our side of the cul-de-sac in the winter. In the spring and summer, the standing water creates a significant amount of mosquitos. One of our drainage experts thought there might be an issue related to the street above so that is why I am reaching out.

Water from storm drain empties into yard

My property borders town property. There is run off from my property into a culvert that flows into a pipe. The culvert needs to be cleaned of weeds and debris in order to facilitate the water flowing freely. It has been done in the past by the Town. Also, considerable work was done over the winter by the Town to clean out the collection basis. The Town laid rocks from the area out to the street but they never came back to smooth out the area. There is alot of foot traffic in that area and it's difficult to walk over the stones.

When it rains my entire yard floods. I’ve had landscapers come to see what can be done, but they say there’s nothing to be done because my house sits lower than the street and I can’t put a sump pump in the yard because there’s no drain on my side of the street. I’ve lived here since 2020 and have only used the yard a handful of times but not once in 2023 due to all the rainfall we got last year. I would like the town to address this issue since it was not in my purchase agreement that my home was in a flood zone.
