PotholeAcknowledged2501 Bancroft Way Berkeley, California, 94704 - BerkeleyNot exactly a pothole but the asphalt pavement on Bancroft Way approaching Telegraph is buckling / rippling. The asphalt was paved improperly and did not have sufficient space to expand and as a result it has uplifted in several areas approaching the intersection.

PotholeAcknowledged1575 Hopkins St Berkeley, CA, 94707, USA - BerkeleyThe crew repaving Monterrey Ave in Berkeley dropped chunks of asphalt down Hopkins and Cedar Street from Monterrey all the way to the asphalt plant at the railroad tracks. I first noticed Tuesday morning. I have lots of photos. Some chunks are big enough to throw someone off their bike. This is a HUGE clean-up project that will get harder the longer it sits. Literally harder the longer it sits. Sorry!

PotholeAcknowledged1812 Martin Luther King Jr Way Berkeley, CA, 94709, USA - BerkeleyBetween 1812 MLK and the intersection with Hearst Ave the right traffic lane pavement and curb gutter are uplifting severely due to a city street tree root. This section of road is a hazard since it affects AC Transit buses pulling up to the bus stop and bicyclists about to turn right onto the Hearst Ave bike lane. When it rains the gutter is uplifted which prevents water from draining downhill and it puddles up by the uplifted section. Cracks are also forming between the cement gutter and curb area so water drains under the bus stop sidewalk.
