City of Alameda PLUS

The bike path along the bay around Mt. Trashmore is completely overgrown on both sides making it impossible to pass another bike or pedestrian. A ground squirrel was so startled by me on my bike that it ran under my tire! It needs trimming on both sides of the path.

Weeds so high it’s difficult to pass and garage dumbed on the side of the road

resident called in 3 times to file a report of overgrown foliage on a parking strip on Chapin St. resident used to maintenance the area themselves (as the city would never come out to do as it should), however its getting to hard to manage any longer and she wants the city to get back out to keep up the maintenance on the area (city property) She also is concerned that with the overgrowth it will and has cause it a dangerous area for cars and pedestrians.

I’ve asked about this area before. Thought there was a schedule for weed removal and it would be Memorial Day wknd. Wrong. The path is so choked with weeds in certain parts that there’s only one person either way to pass through. I’ve had to wait until people pass by before continuing. Also, the rodent type squirrels get frightened and decide to run across the path to hide in the weeds. I now, ride very slowly since I’ve seen at least 2 of these squirrels dead. (probably hit by someone riding fast on the path). I want to try to avoid hitting these critters but I also don’t want to fly over my handle bars in doing so. Please cut the weeds, it’s also a fire danger. TY

The vegetation along the bike path between the Bay Farm bridge and the model air plane field is too overgrown and is causing a visual obstruction for other passing cyclist.

This brand new area is not being maintained The city has a habit of requiring nice landscaping and then not ensuring that it be maintained Anyway, it look hideous right now

Dangerously high weeds and extreme fire danger Not safe to ride through here with these weeds

AMP's Easement has overgrown plants and weeds. Has not been trimmed in a very long time. When calling regarding this issue I get the runaround it's always somebody's else's department It's just becoming an eyesore and needs to be taken care of I'm 94 years old, if I was 30 years younger I'd do it because it's almost embarrassing...b,

Bay trail starting at light pole #14607 west of harbor bay parkway, nd heading for 600 feet north needs weeds and dirt mitigation Excessive dirt has covered large amounts of the asphalt and will cause tripping hazard and impeded wheelchair and stroller access
