  • South Shore Center - Alameda
    The South Shore Center has only a couple of bike racks. But they are not good enough. Theft-resistant bike lockers are needed. If people are to use (very expensive!) e-bikes to get around the island for errands, they need safe places to park their bikes, as well as the peace of mind knowing the bike will still be there when they return. Please install numerous bike lockers at South Shore Center, ideally near the Safeway and Trader Joe’s.

    I'm ED of the West Alameda Business Association. Now that the streets have been restripesdd and bike lanes enhanced, we'd like to see about installing additional bike rakes along Webster.     There is parking available on AUSD nearby but it's a school parking lot so it would be inappropriate to use while shopping.
