    Hello, I'd like to get a tree from the tree planting program. My neighbors have one and I would like one too. If possible, I would like a magnolia which matches a couple on the street (it seems one was recently planted at the residence of an acquaintance of mine). Otherwise, something suitably tall as there are no overhead powerlines.

    Additionally, it would be nice to check on my neighbor Donnn'a house at 400 Harbor Light as she has a tree that was planted by the program (you can see it in the background of the photo) that desperately needs to be staked as it is leaning considerably. It has scratched her car as it is leaning into the street. She has mentioned it but she is in her 80s and doesn't know how to use a computer. So if you could come by and stake/straighten her tree, that would be appreciated by everyone.

    New growth at the base of the tree is blocking the view of oncoming traffic and cyclists near the corner of Park St and Clement Ave. This affects both driveways on either side of the tree. This is especially dangerous for the cyclists because cars have to inch out into the bike lane to see around the shrub. Needs pruning.

    This tree trimming company was running extremely loud power saws and machinery on Saturday morning, June 28, at 5:45 a.m., within a few feet from homes and apartments near 781 Central. This woke my family and I up after already being exhausted from the week and made the rest of our day very difficult. This irresponsible deployment of loud public tree trimming at an early hour is a nuisance. The city of Alameda is responsible for making sure contractors do not violate city ordinance. Residents should be able to reasonably expect the city to not cause such disturbance any time before 8 a.m. on weekends. Please ensure this does not happen again.
