One side of the fork in a large tree out front of our house has a significant split in it, which I worry means it could fall especially when we start to get wind/rain in the fall. I think after you cut one side off, the tree might not be balanced and so it might require taking the whole thing down completely.

We've had several very large limbs on trees on our block (Encinal and Central) just in the last couple weeks fall and crush cars. Fortunately no one's been hurt, but I figured better to be safe than sorry.

Hello, I have been working with Liz Accord and waiting to hear when the two replacement trees on city land behind my house will be planted. I have been waiting well over 6 years and was assured we would get the trees during the fall. Perhaps someone can provide us with a date and the type of tree. The last hot spell we had reminded me of how unpleasant it is to no longer have any shade in the back of my home. I will send an email to Liz Accord as well. Thank you for any information you may have to share.
