1601-1699 Bay St Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaThe northerly section of the street requires a streetlight. At night, this end of the block is completely dark and invites illegal dumping of large bulky items (See basketball hoop). This end of the block constantly has trash being dumped at night due to lack a visibility. There is a large tree that blocks an existing streetlight in the middle of the block, preventing light to the north end of the street. The sidewalk at night is completely dark for pedestrians and is a liability issue.

Traffic Calming SuggestionReconocidoOtis Dr & Grand St Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaRequest NOT TO INSTALL No Turn on Red sign on Otis and Grand Intersection. With the elimination of one driving lane on Otis approaching Grand, putting NTOR signs in this intersection on Otis and Grand will only make traffic even worse than they now with the current build-up of cars on Otis when the lights are red. Throughout the day when the lights are red, traffic has stretched from Grand to as far back to Waterview Isle and beyond making it nearly impossible to make a right or left turn onto Otis without the stress of being hit by cars in both directions due to the loss of one driving lane approaching Grand. Residents on Fortress Isle have already complained that they can’t get out of their courtyard without the fear of getting hit by cars or having anxiety attacks from the long stretch of traffic caused by the removal of one driving lane on Otis as they try to make a right or left turn onto Otis. Having NTOR signs in this intersection will cause traffic to build up on Otis even more and make turns onto Otis from nearby adjacent streets even more impossible and stressful than it’s already is. The traffic lights and newly constructed concrete barriers/humps on all four corners on this intersection have already slowed down cars and made it safer for pedestrians and cyclists.

Traffic SignalsReconocido1600-1698 9th St Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - Alamedaplease put a stop sign here at the corner of Lincoln and 9th. It’s extremely dangerous when we’re walking to/fro school to Maya Lin. It’s a chance we take everyday when we cross that buys freeway-like street in the middle of “25 mile” city. Everyone’s driving much more than 25 MPH.
