City of Alameda PLUS

Multiple cars speed down 3rd st every weekday starting at noon, when the high school lets out for lunch. Some cars traveling over 40mph. There are a lot of kids walking and biking around lunch making the speeding more dangerous. Please patrol this periodically.

The white lines dividing the lanes are so worn off you can not see them causing drivers to be disoriented. Twice drivers have drifted using two lanes causing me to slam on my brakes. On Lincoln Ave between St Charles and 8th street.

Hey, I know you all have acknowledged this in previous reports, but I saw an accident here yesterday evening and it appeared to be a pedestrian trying to cross this intersection. I hope you all an help expedite this process because cars seriously just fly by here and don't see pedestrians trying to cross

Resident is concerned about speeding and cut through traffic on Garden Road.

Another near-miss accident at Buena Vista and Willow, caused by cars driving on Willow and crossing Buena Vista unsafely The intersection needs a 4-way stop or traffic circle!

There was another near collision at the intersection of Buena Vista and Willow today Please put in a 4-way stop at this intersection!

Please consider the addition of flashing lights with audio announcement older Alamedans frequently don't have good vision, and these would make it safer for us to cross the street.

The crossing here is extremely dangerous for pedestrians. I saw a car nearly hit two students crossing the street around 9 am on a weekday while riding my bike. The car nearly hit me after swerving. We need a proper crossing here with lights at the very least.

The intersection of Oak and Clinton is the worst. Cars parked in the Red zone on Oak blocking the view of cross-traffic @ Clinton. Skateboarders and bicyclists running right through the stop sign, large trucks making U turns in the intersection. San Jose and Oak is a joke. People ignore the "safe street" barricades. San Antonio is confusing as nobody knows who has the right of way and that Oak doesn't have a stop sign. The students at Alameda High have no respect while crossing the street at Alameda Avenue -- difficult to turn right at Alameda Avenue or Central. Cars turn left out of the theater garage onto Oak.

The previously identified safety issue at the corner of Central Ave & Sherman remains unresolved despite the issue being acknowledged. The markings for the right lane on Central to indicate “right turn only” are too close to the intersection and not visible until you are right on it. I continue to see cars speeding through in the right lane only to sudden brake when they realize there is no right lane after the light - and almost slamming into parked cars. Alternatively, the driver attempts to quickly merge into the left lane, cutting off cars correctly proceeding through the intersection. Larger markings and markings much further up Central Ave. are needed. This remains an accident waiting to happen.

Caller reporting street safety concern at Clement / Oak. It appears that drivers are disregarding the stop sign.
