Street Safety ConcernAbertaOak St & Pacific Ave Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaNeeds a pedestrian crosswalk button. Lots of near miss at this intersection. Feels unsafe walking or biking crossing the street towards Park St. Drivers are always speeding and cars are parked too close to the intersection, blocking drivers view of pedestrians.

Street Safety ConcernAberta3307-3315 Mecartney Rd Alameda, CA, 94502, USA - AlamedaTechnically, one shouldn’t cross double lines on a bike lane. However, the street parking in front of Starbucks is in between the dotted area and the corner when turning right onto Island. Either the dotted stretch gets moved to the corner, the curb gets painted red, or we have to just blatantly ignore the solid bike lane and drive across it.

Street Safety ConcernAbertaRalph Appezzato Memorial Pkwy & Webster St Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - Alameda3 cars in a row turned right on red. It's school commute time. It's gotten worse lately, the lack of enforcement means drivers just dont care.

Street Safety ConcernAbertaGrand St & Otis Dr Alameda, California, 94501 - Alameda
Single car crash in the bike lane thinking it’s a right turn lane. They went up on the curb and lost control and slammed into the next curb. This is a terrible design. Luckily there were no pedestrians or cyclists in the “right turn lane” or on the sidewalk.
Please stop installing these terrible “protected” bike lanes. They put our entire community at risk. They are not safe.

Street Safety ConcernAbertaClement Ave & Hibbard St Alameda, California, 94501 - AlamedaRequest for stop sign at Clement & Hibbard. The caller is describing a street safety concern with cars flying down that stretch and would like to know when the work being done there will be completed.

Street Safety ConcernAbertaMile 20.1 State Rte 61 N Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - AlamedaMultiple cars abandoned in the bike lane.

Street Safety ConcernAbertaWillow St & Buena Vista Ave Alameda, California, 94501 - AlamedaAnother traffic accident at this dangerous intersection yesterday! This corner needs some type of traffic calming in order to prevent this reoccurring problem. Everyday cars are screeching to a stop because of cross traffic or pedestrians trying to walk across Buena Vista. This isn’t a new problem. It has been going on for years. Do we need to wait until someone is seriously injured to get some action?
-
Street Safety ConcernAberta2065 Buena Vista Ave Alameda, California, 94501 - AlamedaAnother accident at Buena Vista and Willow! This intersection needs a 4-way stop or at minimum a traffic circle. I have video of the accident if anyone needs it.
-
Street Safety ConcernAbertaIsland Dr & Mecartney Rd Alameda, CA, 94502, USA - AlamedaThis intersection is awful when there’s even the slightest buildup of waiting cars. Can we please stop tweaking the lane striping every few months and just get a light finally?
-
Street Safety ConcernAberta1601-1699 Bay St Alameda, California, 94501 - AlamedaThis intersection is very dangerous. There are many children and customers who must cross lincoln to go to the businesses on the south side of the street. I have watched so many near misses of pedestrians in the crosswalk as cars fly down lincoln at speeds way over 25.
We need 4 way stops signs or at the least the flashing lights. It is also a difficult intersection for cars turning onto lincoln from bay street. -
Street SignsReconhecida2995 Northwood Dr Alameda, California, 94501 - AlamedaIllegal barrier put up at all times. Throws cars into incoming traffic. Same exact place illegal speed bump was drilled into street before city removed.

Parking EnforcementReconhecida1501-1899 Entrance Rd Alameda, CA, 94501, USA - Alameda
Now that Alta Star Harbor (Wood Partners) have been prevented from illegally establishing a commercial refuse collection point on Entrance Road (thank you city code enforcement for quick action on this!), there is no legitimate reason for the "No Parking 6am-6pm weekdays" on the parking spaces along Entrance Road between Buena Vista and Clement. This is not a loading zone and cannot be used as such with the current restrictions in any event.
I request that the city remove the posted restrictions to restore these badly needed parking spaces to standard available parking.
