Needs a pedestrian crosswalk button. Lots of near miss at this intersection. Feels unsafe walking or biking crossing the street towards Park St. Drivers are always speeding and cars are parked too close to the intersection, blocking drivers view of pedestrians.

I have a street safety concern about the corner of Oak and San Antonio. I would like to advocate for a stop sign to be installed on Oak. I live right next to this corner, work from home, and almost daily I hear near misses and brake squeals because this is a dangerous intersection. Parking on Oak limits visibility for drivers entering the intersection from San Antonio, and makes it difficult to safely determine whether cars are coming through. I implore the City of Alameda to make this intersection safer and place a stop sign on Oak.

Cars often roll right through this stop sign without looking around. Usually at a very high speed above the speed limit of 25 miles an hour. It’s extremely unsafe in the morning when the sun is pointing down the street and drivers are unable to see people crossing.

Cars are ignoring the red right turn light .

California Vehicle Code 21453(c)

We need a “no right turn on red” sign and probably an occasional officer for enforcement. I a fellow pedestrian and I were almost was hit in the crosswalk.
