When will this dangerous intersection be addressed? It is dangerous for pedestrians to cross not too mention the lack of a stop sign or light that allows for a safe left turn onto Marina Village Parkway from Bartlett Dr.

Citizen is concerned regrading the receiving lanes on Park Ave north of Encinal Ave - i.e. westbound right turn, eastbound left turn, northbound through. The pork-chop provides multiple inlets onto Park Ave, which makes it difficult for residents to back out of their driveway, especially those that live closer to the intersection.

Why is the daylighting project to help bike/pedestrian safety on Santa Clara Ave stopping at Grove and not continuing the 3 remaining blocks to reach High Street? Santa Clara is a heavily trafficked street, especially for kids going to and from Lincoln Middle who cut through LIncoln Park and Edison Elementary kids coming and going from RAP or the park itself. Those 3 intersections are just as blind and dangerous as the rest on Santa Clara. It seem short sighted to stop it the closer you get to the park. It would make more sense to stop it as you move away from the park.
Why not just finish the job and do the last 3 intersections?

Install crosswalk for pedestrians and schoolchildren to cross at the intersection of Pacific and Marshall. Children and pedestrians are crossing the street Pacific during school hours from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM without a stop sign or a crosswalk for cars to stop in time. Children are often weaving through vehicles in oncoming traffic.

Request that a crosswalk be added to the east side of Court Street crossing Encinal Ave. given the location of Otis Elementary School on the east side of Court Street. Having two crosswalks at Encinal would hopefully allow families living across Encinal Ave. to have a safer place to cross without having to unnecessarily cross three times to get to the western crossing and would signal to motorists to slow down.

For the price of paint, the City could help promote more active transportation to and from Otis Elementary, assisting the CIty meet its climate goals.

I am a counselor at Alameda High School and have a question in regards to a safety concern that has come up countless times over the past many years.
There is a staff parking lot that is accessed off of Oak Street. Exiting this lot is a nightmare each and every day as visibility is reduced by trucks and cars that park on the street and block the view. When you are exiting the parking lot onto Oak, you literally can’t see any of the approaching cars on the left. I have almost been hit so many times and have watched colleagues endangered in the same way. No one should be able to park right in that spot period and perhaps making it a red zone for at least 5-6 feet would help. Many of us would greatly appreciate your attention to this safety matter.

The second car here ran a red shortly after this photo, almost hitting 4 pedestrians and 3 cars who had right of way.

This is a daily incident at this light.

Given the high throughout bike and pedestrian corridor, as well as adjacent school route this is an vision zero accident waiting to happen.

This is a copy of a complaint issued 3 years ago.. Less than nothing has been done to improve conditions on Maitland drive IT HAS GOTTEN WORSE! Damage to private property, speeding, out of control buss & trucks continues. Starbucks will only create more of a nightmare. I have no kind words for you people..

Why is the city of alameda refusing to ticket speeding motorists on Maitland Dr.?? Just about every vehicle is traveling double the speed limit. Having a patrol car sit around the corner for a couple hours every once in a while is not doing the job. We need 24hr speed controls before someone gets seriously injured. Your negligence in this matter is not going unnoticed
