Norwich Cir Medford, Massachusetts, 02155 - MedfordThis is erosion from Norwich Circle, probably from the grass strip on the westbound side of Norwich Circle where it slopes down to Grove Street. There is gully forming where there used to be a grass strip on Norwich Circle.
Sand, native pebbles, and gravel washing down onto Grove Street. Probably OK to leave it. But it might be better to use the natural sediments to re-fill the gully on the grass strip, i.e. sweep them manually and then transport them by wheelbarrow the short distance.
The grass strip between the sidewalk and road is perhaps public property. But perhaps the abutter(s) could be encouraged to maintain it.
Mechanical sweeping has probably missed the sediments on the right side (in the photo). The similar sediments across the street are new.
I believe I recently saw this exact same issue tersely posted earlier on this site but was unable to find it and it was closed to comments. I wanted to add a photo.

63–91 Allston St Medford MA 02155, United States - MedfordThis spring the city came and filled in the sidewalk with gravel as a short term solution in front of 91 Allston Street Whenever we have torrential downpours the gravel flows down to the corner of high street and Allston street The last time this happened the city came and swept it up so we need that again but we also need the gully between the sidewalk and the street fixed correctly so when it rains it doesn't all wash away Delivery trucks like to park here as well as cars when trying to pass by and they bottom out -

It can't drain a large volume of water during heavy rains.Most recently, during the storm on 6/14/2024, the whole street was flooded, water went over the sidewalks and into the 179 Park St parking lot. Concerned residents called 911 fearing flooding in the basement.
