It is broken and raised. A few years ago they trimmed the tree and said they would fix the sidewalk promptly. Most recently, they said a month.

16 Auburn St Somerville, MA 02144, USA - MedfordDespite the guardrails being repaired, the sidewalk has broken glass, pieces of metal and plastic from car crashes, and substantial amounts of related debris strewn across it. It is dangerous to walk a dog on the sidewalk here as there is significant risk of cuts to their paws, and it interferes with stroller and assistive device (wheelchairs, walkers, etc). Really unacceptable that this sidewalk is never properly cleaned or restored when the guardrail is replaced.

485 High Street Medford, MA, 02155, USA - MedfordFencing broke by RR crosswalk and no bike/stroller access and only stairs-- BUT perhaps these are related. The beautiful new fencing along the rail road on the Playstead Road side of the track blocks any prior dirt paths, breaks in the fence or other routes with which to take a stroller or bike to the sidewalk without getting down the stairs. Being the road with Playstead Park, this is especially inconvenient for families and children. Can some sort of ramp-- even a plywood one to match the crosswalk across the tracks-- be put in place until a wheel chair or other proper ramp is designed and installed? -
