  • Fellsway W & Parkway Rd Medford, MA, 02155, USA - Medford
There is roadwork going on that closes half of Elm street as of today. There is a sign “detouring” cars away from elm st but no additional signage. I live on parkway road which is a small private way with lots of families and we’re getting a lot of traffic cutting/speeding through. Would it be possible to put a sign up at parkway and fellsway to direct detour traffic up via fellsway? Thanks
  • 19–99 Alfred St Medford MA 02155, United States - Medford
Alfred Street needs a sign that states "Entering Medford" since Sargent Rogers from the Traffic Unit is now stating that the (2) top spots (as you turn right from Broadway) are located in Somerville not Medford.
  • Suffolk St & Wyman St Medford, MA, 02155, USA - Medford
Intersection of suffolk and Winthrop traffic light. Traffic is eternally backed up at this light even at 4am with just 2 cars because of the lack of signage explaining that cars need to pull up all the way to the sensor to activate the light. I request a sign that says "sensor here".
  • Fulton St & Ridgeway Rd Medford, MA, 02155, USA - Medford
The mirror for visibility of oncoming traffic on the light pole at the corner of Fulton and Ridgeway needs to be cleaned or adjusted as it’s hard to see the cars coming down now.
  • Salem St & Hadley Pl Medford, MA, 02155, USA - Medford
Good morning- as a resident using the marked crosswalk at Salem St and Hadley St intersection, it would be great to have a walk signal placed there- my daily use of the crosswalk reminds me that crossing in a legal crosswalk should not be a life and death decision. Do the drivers of the cars coming at high speeds from 3 separate directions ALL SEE ME AND WILL THEY STOP OR KEEP DRIVING? My experience is that they don't care since I know their eyes are open and not continue to drive as if pedestrians are INVISIBLE? This section of road is NOT an extended highway on and off ramp. Someone is going to end up with severe injuries that the city needs to take steps to prevent.

Temporary crosswalk really needs repainting Visibility isn't great here
  • 27 Harvard St Medford, MA, 02155, USA - Medford
Issue ID: 5682191 -- The crosswalk is not visible, faded. Still needs to be painted. A pedestrian takes there chances crossing the street -- it's so dangerous.
  • 152 Forest St Medford MA 02155, United States - Medford
Another accident on forest street last night. The neighborhood appreciates the solar powered 'your speed' signage but more is needed. Accidents are an annual occurrence. More traffic calming is needed. Maybe white line lane markings? It would help on snowy days to know where the lane is so that parked cars don't narrow the lanes too much. People typically blow through the 25mph speed limit on Forest and narrower lanes make this more dangerous.
  • Corner Of Exeter And Winthrop St Medford, Massachusetts - Medford
The corner of Winthrop and Exeter is both a school bus stop and an MBTA bus stop. The nearest cross walk is 100 yards away in either direction. We need a crosswalk added here for the safety of both Medford children and all residents.
  • 92 Fellsway W Medford, MA, 02155, USA - Medford

Where Salem Street crosses the Fellsway, the road broadens out from one lane to two lanes (there aren't lane lines, but that's how people treat it). However, there's no signage designating whether people going straight should be in one lane or another. That often leads to frustration, as people jump between lanes based on whichever appears to be shorter. I've witnessed several close calls where someone gunned it at the last second to change lanes to avoid someone turning.

It seems like going either direction, a designated "left turn only" lane should be created, while the right lane would be for right turns and people going straight.

I have visited the DPW twice since April of 2019 regarding missing STOP and stop line templates at each of the four existing STOP signs. Initially I was told that there was a backlog because of rainy conditions was informed by email over a year ago that my request would be "First on the list". This is a cut through between Grove Street and the Mystic Valley Parkway and without these painted templates motorists fly through as if the signs are invisible. I don't understand how such a simple request can not be acknowledged or completed within a year's timeframe.
  • 135 High St Medford, MA, 02155, USA - Medford
The temporary crosswalk at the corner of Boynton Rd and High Street is not very visible due to library construction and parked cars. There really should be a push button to illuminate a warning light for a pedestrian in the crosswalk. At least something similar to what exists at Governors Ave and High Street if not a fully operational traffic light.
