Sunken curb and cracked sidewalk. Every afternoon there is a UPS truck parked on the sidewalk here. Can UPS pay for the sidewalk damage their trucks are causing?
  • 25 Newbern Ave Medford, MA, 02155, USA - Medford
The lifted sidewalk has gotten progressively worse and have not received response from the city. There are handicapped people living at this address and recently the owner who is an elderly veteran tripped on it and fell. Please respond to this as it has become a serious issue. Thank you

Please fix sidewalk that was lifted by old tree roots, and also leave a spot for a new tree to be planted. If possible, please use that soft sidewalk material that prevents the sidewalk from being lifted by future tree roots

Concrete bump out curb from old tree roots that was removed 2 years ago. The curb makes it very difficult to park a car in front of it without scraping the hubcap and is a trip hazard to anyone getting out of a car, it’s uneven and bumpy.

I reside at 4 Doane Road. I would like to inform you of a major safety hazard onthe sidewalk in front of my property. As my father (who is 89 years old), was walking to the front of the house, he tripped. He told me that there is a “sinkhole” forming on the sidewalk. I went to look and I can see what he is talking about.

Last summer, the city contracted out a company to investigate all the water lines in my area. As a result, they dug up several square feet of sidewalk at the water cap. As you can see in the picture, this must have been compromised the integrity of the sidewalk. The “sinkhole” is forming right at the edge of the water cap where they did the work.

Not only is this a hazard for my elderly father, who thankfully did not get hurt, but many people walk along this sidewalk.

I kindly ask that you take quick action to have this repaired.

Curb cut needs replacement. Pavement is falling apart and typically overgrown with weeds.

The concrete ramp between the public sidewalk and my driveway is cracked and uneven, with sections missing. This creates a significant tripping hazard for pedestrians, including children, seniors, and individuals with mobility impairments. In wet or icy conditions, the gap and uneven surface become even more dangerous, increasing the risk of falls and injury.

Given the location at the transition point between sidewalk and driveway, this area sees frequent foot traffic, including pedestrians, delivery personnel, and neighborhood walkers. Prompt repair will help maintain accessibility, reduce liability risk, and protect public safety.
