City of Medford PLUS

Sidewalk needs repair or redone. I have lived here for 40 years and nothing has been done since then. I am over 65 years old and when it snows cannot shovel because surface is uneven and when it rains lots of big puddles. Also getting moisture down the basement because rain water is going towards house because curb is damaged and partially missing. I have called several times HWP and all I get is I am on list

A resident from 86 Brooks Street called explaining that her home had a water issue about 8 months ago and the city came out to assist. The sidewalk had to be dug up and a cone was placed on top. I was told it was the City who dug the sidewalk up. Can someone please let the resident know when the sidewalk will be replaced?

Outstanding issue for 360 days with no reply, multiple requests gone unanswered and no repair done. What has to be done to get contractors to do a proper repair of ADA non compliant sidewalk?

The asphalt is sinking, there are several deep dips in the sidewalk. It has been for several years and called at least 2 years ago and was 'put on a list'. So far, nothing. Someone is going to twist an ankle walking and there is more foot traffic since the T station in Ball Sq. When it snows, an unsuspected passerby could literally twist or break an ankle here. I've nearly done that myself just snow blowing snow in the winter.

I met an elderly woman with a cane who was stuck at this intersection because she could not step down off the sidewalk. Also you see the sidewalk does not meet the crosswalk. There is no ramp in either direction. Please put in a ramp as the city is doing most intersections nearby.

Very overgrown weeds obscuring sidewalk path on Webster E of I-93

This sidewalk and curb are unusable. Not only is the tree root/stump creating a massive bump that is unusable for wheelchairs and strollers, but the residents of 100 3rd Street do not do anything about the weeds that are in the front of their home. They are overgrown and have caused my son to get cuts on his arms when we walk by as the weeds are sharp and rough. Please do something about this asap.

Major cracks that can cause tripping

From victory park to 667 Winthrop street there is overgrowth of weeds that limit access on public sidewalk. It seems every year this is a request. It would be very much appreciated.

Curb in front of the bike racks at McGlynn elementary is badly damaged and is dangerous for students and parents.

This is a handicap drop. Man with a baby in a stroller had great difficulty getting the stroller up over the dropped curb. It was dangerous for him. I can’t imagine someone in a wheelchair trying to negotiate this.
