  • Burget Ave & George St Medford, MA, 02155, USA - Medford
    The crosswalk on George St at Burget Ave/Marston St has needed repainting since November 2024 when it was removed for paving work. We were told it would be scheduled to be repainted with other construction work. The city just finished replacing the nearby crosswalk but did not repaint the Burget/Marston crosswalk, despite repeated requests. Please repaint the crosswalk.

    This crosswalk was recently repainted, but the paint has not been properly dried or heat sealed yet. The painted lines feel like they have a later of sand over the top and are so slippery that I tweaked my knee when crossing (and slipping).

    This is a very busy intersection and crosswalk. Cars often speed right through the crosswalk despite pedestrian crossing signs. It would be hugely beneficial to not just repaint the crosswalk but install more visible signage such as blinking/flashing lights that could be enabled by pedestrians (like what's in front of the Medford Public Library).
