City of Medford PLUS

Several trees that were planted last December in the cold, hard ground did not survive and were removed this summer. When will these trees be replaced. They are in the Royall St. and Florence Street vicinity. I know the city has a contract that if a tree does not survive the first year it is replaced for free with the landscaping contractor. Can the tree warden please post an update for residents on how our tree funds are being spent/managed to ensure we have healthy, cost saving trees. And please let us know when these trees are scheduled for replacement. Thanks so much!

Please plant a new tree where the previous tree was removed. The stump from the prior tree also need to be dug out.

These two were chopped down in September. Took us all by surprise. I've been trying to get details about replacement trees for two months. Unless I copy a lot of people I can't get answers.

No need for plant there. It will grow and will just have to be cut again. Homeowner recommended to plant trees/plants on their own private property, not request public funds to plant trees like its a wildlife reservation and not the city of medford.

Our street tree is dead, it has looked like this for at least six months. Please replace it with a native canopy tree!

Our street is down to only two trees, one of which is a sapling. We lost our only other large tree in the last storm. Could we get more trees planted on our street? We’re the only street in the neighborhood that has little to no trees left.

We had a tree that had to be removed last summer because it was very large and branches kept getting blown from it into cable wires. There is still a dirt patch where the tree was removed and we would love a new tree to be planted there.

I would like to to request 2 flowering trees to be planted outside my front yard. 12 Wilson St is very bare and bland. Hopefully, other neighbors will be interested in obtaining trees to bring more interest and vitality.
