Tree Planting Requestتم إقراره22 Locke St Cambridge, MA, 02140, USA - North CambridgeHi! Locke/Woodbridge streets have lost a couple of mature pine trees in the last few years, and some of the street trees are looking pretty sad. Is there anywhere that new ones could be planted along this stretch? (I'm at 25 Locke St, so selfishly I want them near me, but I appreciate any additions to the neighborhood.) Thanks!

Tree Planting Requestتم إقراره636 Green St Cambridge, Massachusetts, 02139 - RiversideThe chestnut tree that has terrible early annual leaf mold was killed today in a hit and run car accident. DPW has already chopped it down. I am requesting that the new tree not be a chestnut again. There are so many beautiful trees that do well in this climate, but the chestnut isn’t one of them. Thank you!

Subject: Tree removal requestThis is my second request for the removal of this tree. Previously it was trimmed but recently high winds have damaged a branch over hanging my neighbors power line.
A second branch is in question. The wires to the home are currently booted for safety. A resent scoping of my drain pipe showed roots from this tree damaging the pipe!
Recently a second invasive Norwegian Maple dropped a branch nearly missing my neighbor. As you can imagine we are all worried about these trees. The tree is located in front of 31/33 Royal avenue. Near the driveway to 35/37. It is the invasive Norwegian Maple and has the black beetles in it that I believe are the Emerald Ash Borer. I have dead specimens to present. I have lived at 35/37 Royal avenue my entire life and currently the owner at age 67.
I know where the tree came from. When Danehy was being clear cut at the beginning of its creation, formally the town dump, individuals dug up trees and were driving around passing them out! Basically an illegally planted tree!
The tree is interfering with the pipes. The gas and water are directly along side and our sewer pipes directly under. As you might know this invasive tree has a bad reputation for getting into sewerage pipes. The owner is usually responsible for its repairs that runs into tens of thousands of dollars and we just had the street paved. I will be finding the City of Cambridge responsible for the repair of the drain pipe. State law is clear the the owner of the tree is responsible for proper maintenance and removal of the tree if failure to maintain the owner is responsible for expenses!
This tree is also tangled up with an electric pole and light. The leaves from the tree get in our gutters and roof drain. They also act as a slip and fall hazard.
This tree was scheduled for removal during the paving project but a resident at 33 Royal ave complained. That resident moved out shortly latter. This tree is also in the way of the sidewalk. Handicapped individuals cannot pass and it makes shoveling the snow difficult. I do the sidewalks in the area. The snowblower has a hard time making it past this tree. Please help
A series of new trees have been added to Royal ave. All being in good locations away from wires and underground utilities and nice selection of non-invasive. We have no shortage of trees on Royal ave. Safety comes first.
I do not consider pruning a solution to our problem.
In fact it might be a waste of money. The money would be better spent on removal.
