Two trees were just cut down on our street leaving it somewhat barren and made me very sad. If possible, can you plant two new trees there as soon as possible? The guys who took it down thought perhaps it could get done this fall. thank you very much.

The city removed a dying Maple Tree from this location recently and now there is a sign saying a new tree will be planted there. May we have a say in the kind of tree from your list of approved trees? We desire a smaller flowering tree so it will not compete with our own trees. We do want a tree planted there to replace the one that was removed . Thank you, Amy Clarkson

Would the city be wind to plant two trees in front of the Green apartment building? Thanks for considering.
  • 13 Hollis Street Cambridge, Massachusetts, 02140 - North Cambridge

An ailing city tree was removed from in front of our home at 13 Hollis St. (The sidewalk still needs to be fixed there as it is a fall hazard.)

There is no room in this narrow space to replant a tree, and this was confirmed by the crew removing the old tree. Instead they suggested that a tree might be planted near this spot, but in the corner of our front yard where there is space. Please let me know if this is possible. Thank you!

I'm following up on two previous requests about planting a new tree in front of 1 Walden Mews, on Walden Street, where there was once a huge tree that fell over; a new one that the City planted as a replacement died, and we were promised another new one but we've never received it despite our several requests. Many other trees have been planted in the meantime. Is it too late to plant a new one now and if so, why were we not given a new one in the fall as we were promised? The City has always been receptive in the past; this tree request has unfortunately been ignored.
