    Tree branch scrapes against house

    On 7/25, this large elm tree on Locke St was struck by a large box truck traveling north and badly damaged loosing (2) substantial bows on the south side. There’s a police report of the incident and DPW was on the scene to remove the debris. I’m assuming that the urban forestry department has or will be notified and hopefully be out to assess the trees condition. Submitting this report in case anything slips through cracks and/or move the process along.

    There are many trees at Garden Street GlenRothisberher Memorial Park that need pruning and a lot of TLC. While the city has been taking care on the trees between the baseball fields at St Peter’s field and upper part of Danehy Park nothing has been done for the trees in this location. This is not the first time that a large tree limb broke off. I am requesting that the city Boris’s inspect the health of these trees and the city forestry department complete a follow up. These trees re among biggest trees in this park and deserve better care than received so far. Please act!

    The city tree directly in front of my house has branches that are touching the front of my house. I would like the branches pruned back so they are not touching my house and are at least a few feet away from it. Thank you.

    The city tree in front of our building (29 Essex St.) has grown really large and spread-out. It has branches that are hanging down from what appears to be weight. The branches used to be more vertical. Branches hang over our front yard. A year or two ago the city came and trimmed this same tree because branches were close to our windows. Can the tree be trimmed again? The angle of some of the branches as we look out from our second floor windows almost makes them look like they're breaking though probably not.
