    The traffic signal at the northwest corner of Third Street and Charles Street only displays the "Don't Walk" blinking hand. When it's time to display the "Walk" person, the sign is blank.

    The walk signal going northbound across third street on the east side of the light at Broadway/third does not display a walk signal as long as it should. There is about a 15 second period where a "don't walk" is displayed yet there is no conflicting movement. Please assure this light is properly timed.

    Concrete base under pole is irregular shape and sticks out onto sidewalk and is hard to see, creating a hazard for pedestrians. Please spray with pink or orange so this can be seen easily. I did trip on it once when I was approaching to press the button for the pedestrian walk signal and slid into the gutter. Now I know it us there and know to avoid it but not everyone does.

    Crosswalk does not speak or flash to alert pedestrians that lights are flashing from Day St. side. The button in front of Food Land does, and all the lights alerting cars work, but on the other side it doesn’t flash or say the lights are flashing. Mostly concerned for the sight-impaired who may not know the crosswalk is lit for them.

    Could leading pedestrian intervals and no turn on red signs be installed here?

    I realize that now Cambridge officials are making the recordings for the "safe to walk" announcements for pedestrians crossing streets, to make them more "personal." But the voice recording at the corner of Chauncy and Mass Ave is now almost inaudible. This is a noisy intersection. Could you please either up the volume, or restore the former "computer voice" recording, which was really clear.

    Traffic signals need review. During the morning and afternoon commutes, (1) Cars turning onto Binney street from land boulevard often jam up on Binney street, blocking the intersection at Binney and land. (2) cars on Binney street turning onto land boulevard north always end up blocking the intersection.
