  • Dewolfe St Cambridge 02138, United States - Riverside

The traffic light for bicycles as seen from Dewolfe St. bike lane, to cross Mt. Auburn has been turned to face the brick building.

As a result, bicyclists cannot see the traffic light signals that indicate when the light is green for bicycles.

    Please fix.

There is a section of sidewalk in front of the playground at the school that at one time housed a tree. But now is empty. The issue with this spot is that because of the angle of the fence along the playground the space between the fence and the section for the tree is less than 3 ft wide. This is a high traffic area especially at pickup and drop-off and often parents with strollers and young kids are forced into the mud pit and stumble. From a safety perspective and a traffic flow perspective this tree well might be better served as sidewalk. It might be worth taking a look at. Or try popping by at 2:25 on a weekday and you'll see how chaotic it is and how this is a hazard. Happy to chat more about it but thought I would point that out. You have all been so great and responsive to the community and I fully appreciate that.

The landscaping edging surrounding the Kennedy-Longfellow School needs maintenance, care, and filling in. Many of the once-beautiful plantings have died and the majority of the beds are now empty. The plants that remain are struggling. Additionally, one of the trees seems to have died.

We were excited to see a sticker on the sidewalk in front of our home indicating that a tree would soon be planted. However, after having recently redone the front of our home so that we will have adequate sun for our flowers and vegetables, we're worried the current placement will mean no direct sun and too much shade. We'd love to discuss the possibility of moving the tree from the currently proposed location 5-10 feet in either direction potentially. Additionally, we'd love to provide input on the decision regarding what type of tree, as we understand this is something we can do as residents. Please be in touch. Thank you.

Hi. You cut down the dead street tree in front of our house last summer and told me that you would replace. How do I get this process moving? How can I select a tree? When will you grind out the old stump?

    Thank you

We would love having a tree that could be pruned around the cables and wires. What happened to the Linden, which was remove today, that was just taken down is the once it got up into wires the street side was cut back to nothing and so the tree was unbalanced and vulnerable. I would be glad to pay for a new tree...it's very important to us to have the shade and some screening of the hideous pole and wires. Please let us know you plans so we can know a tree is coming and what kind of tree.
