Dead tree keeps dropping big branches
It already dented my car and branches keep falling

I’m afraid of falling on the house or smashing my car flat

trees are way too big and ways drop large branches on vehicles when strong air or storm. some died branches on them. branches over house. very dangerous old trees

This has been there since August 29,2025, Priority has not picked up. Growing week by week.

City of Detroit Planted Tree needs trimming.

Tree needs pruning lots of dead limbs.

This massive, old and dying Cottonwood tree primarily sits on the adjacent property but also on my property line. I had made attempts to cut back the dying/dead branches that were hovering over my garage and driveway before rain and wind storm caused the dead trunks/limbs to break off but I was met with resistance. Because of safety issues due to size (height & girth)the arborist needed access to the neighboring backyard which was delayed. Eventually, permission was granted to cut the limbs over my property at great expense ($5000 for less than half the tree) to me to only cut back the portions over my property. Several arborist provided estimates but they agreed the primary trunk had significant decay from the inside/out.(See pictures) They also noted a significant tilt, lean & lift to my garage walls and foundation from the tree roots growing under garage’s foundation which is visible to the naked eye. (See pictures) To date, the garage’s cement foundation, the brick interior & exterior are not cracked but that’s only a matter of time.
Other than property damage, the tree is a human safety hazard and dangerously at risk of falling over from decay with or without a storm

The tree in front of my home needs pruning. I used to do it but was no longer able to. it is currently growing into the front of my house. I tried to upload a picture but the app doesn't allow me.
